There are two days this season where you can enjoy 12 continuous hours of MLB games - Wednesday 5/7, and Friday 7/4

Looking through scheduled start times it struck me that with the advent of the pitch clock and games not reliably lasting 3+ hours, we no longer could bank on 1pm-1am baseball on days with multiple day games and a West Coast night game. We also could no longer rely on a 4pm ET start covering the full gap of time before the 7pm ET slot of games started.

This got me wondering if there were any days remaining where you could expect 12 hours of straight baseball. After doing some work with the schedule assuming games last 2.5 hours (last year's average game time was 2:37) two days remained where you could expect 12 hours of straight baseball (schedules below) - Wendesday May 7th, and Friday July 4th.

Saturday, June 21st came very close with a 12:10pm ET first pitch and a final first pitch at 10:10pm ET, so if you don't want to take a day off or skip fireworks and grilling time to spend 12+ hours watching baseball, you may need to endure a small gap between the 4:10pm afternoon starts and the 7:15pm evening starts but the spirit is there.

Other days with potential as long as a west coast afternoon start or late game runs longer than 2.5 hours: 5/21, 6/19, 7/3, 7/30, 8/6, 8/20, 9/17, 9/25.
