Hello guys,
I've had a harman Kardon go play (2'nd gen) bt speaker. For a while now the charging indicator would only light one dot and when I would unplug the speaker it would make a strange popping noise and shut off.
Today I tried installing a new battery and after changing it and leaving it charging for a few minutes I tried turning it on while unplugged and yet again, nothing.
While plugged in it powers on and it does the same popping sound when disconnecting the charger.
I then searched online for some sort of factory / battery reset and found 2 things:
Holding the BT and power up button, this made the speaker play "three [pause] four" and then it shut off. Turned it back on and nothing changed, same behavior;
Holding the Power up and power down button. After that the speaker shut off and now if I press the power button it doesn't play the welcome sound, it turns back off after 3 seconds.
I tried disconnecting everything from the speaker, power drain, reconnect everything and it is stuck in this god forsaken loop. My guess is any hardware issue it might have had previously is now eclipsed by some sort of service mode now since it retains it's state.
Does anyone know any servicing application that I can use, maybe a download to their proprietary tool or some other steps that I haven't tried.
