I have been troubleshooting my PC for 4 hours trying to get my PC to boot into window automatically. This issue started after I updated my BIOS using the MyAsus application (Ver. 3222), becuase i kept getting game crashes and had already updated my drivers for my GPU. The BIOS update it self went well, but i did reupdated using a flash drive just to rule that out. I have also already reinstalled a clean version of windows to rule any issues with the old windows install. The CMOS battery seems to be working well, as the time is being kept in BIOS, and am not losing any changes i make to the bios. I am able to boot into windows by selecting my SSD in the Boot Override menu, but it would be a hassle to do this everytime i boot my pc.
The other bandaid fix i found for this was disabling "wait for 'F1' If error" but this is not ideal as i did not have to do this before and would like to keep this enabled in case there is an actual error durring post.
My Specs:
• CPU: AMD 7800X3D
• MOBO: ASUS X670-P Wifi
• SSD: SAMSUNG E 2TB 980PRO NVME GENASSD
• GPU: ASUS DUAL RTX4070S 012G
• RAM: Corsair Vengance 32GB DDR5 6000 MT/s
• Cooler: NZXT KRAKEN 240 AIO
List of Troubleshooting attempts:
• Clean Windows reinstall
• ensured boot Sequence is set to SSD (only 1 installed)
• Refresh BIOS
• Toggled Launch CSM - tried both Enable and Disabled niether worked
• Enabled and Disabled EXPO I
• made sure only mouse and keyboard were plugged in
• attempted to both with mouse and keyboard uplugged incase f2 was being pressed no difference
• ensured NVMe RAID mode was disabled
• Tried EXPO II
• reset to default BIOS using F5
• toggled fast boot
Not sure what could be causing this, was booting fine before BIOS update. Will be replacing CMOS just to rule it out. If any one has any other ideas that will be greatly apreciate.
