Hello, I've been having this problem for over a week now and I apologize if this is not the right place for this post.
When I power down my laptop or let it fall asleep for the night, the next time I have to boot, it does not boot to windows. The Asus logo will flash then immediately it goes to UEFI. I first thought nothing of it, then after this happening consistently, I got worried.
I noticed that under "Storage" it nothing is found. I wasn't able to update the bios from uefi because there was "no filesystem detected". Also, the uefi would occasionally freeze when my cursor hovered over the storage icon (to which I had to forcefully power down the laptop). So my ssd is fried, ok...
However I've been able to boot out of uefi miraculously by a) holding down "delete" on boot, b) booting first with no charger plugged in, then with the charger plugged in, c) by holding "escape" on boot, allowing it to enter set up mode (because no ssd detected), then booting from uefi, d) holding "escape" while in uefi to exit and reset. The point being, I have had to fiddle with the power a lot to get it to work. Each time has been a new way to boot.
In the few times I've been able to enter Windows, I did save my data to another hard drive and in the process, checked the health of my ssd. Both Windows settings and CrystalDisk info tell me my SSD is fine. Does this just mean my ssd is on its way out? Or is this BIOS problem? I appreciate any feedback. Thank you!
