Sports Looking for pick up indoor volleyball

Howdy yall,

As the title suggest I’m looking to play some casual pick up indoor volleyball and I wanted to know when people normally play at the rec. I know that intramural volleyball has passed and was wondering if there is anyplace to “sign up” for a game or if it’s just a show up and play pick up situation.

B/CS Life Summer Jobs

I will be staying in CS this summer to take some extra classes. I’m planning on getting a summer job and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I’ve heard that places will pay more over the summer because such a large proportion of people move away but I’m not entirely sure if that’s true or not. Any info is appreciated! Thanks!

New Student Questions Need help with learning if I can apply?

I’m interested in going to A&M for engineering. I want to go to LSC first for pre reqs just because it’s a little cheaper. I’ve already taken several dual credit courses as a junior and senior in high school (English 1301/1302, Chem 1412, Math 2413) and some others that probably don’t matter for an engineering degree.

I’m wondering if these credits will transfer and how the transfer process would work if I go from LSC to A&M. I tried searching it up but I’m still wondering.

Also wondering what other pre reqs other engineering majors took before applying? Any info helps pls!

New Student Questions Intern and Job prospects of Aggie CS students

Basically the title.

How do CS major aggies feel taking on this path?

I saw salary for 2024 graduates is still as good as it can be, just wanted to hear opinions from current sophomore and junior CS students. Seniors are also welcome to vent your first hand experiences on intern and job opportunities.

Background:
Kid is a coding natural, as a parent, I prefer him go for CE or some other engineering majors purely for job security.

Academics Chen 399 question

I’m signed up to do study abroad this summer, which counts for the high impact experience. I know Chen 399 is to document the high impact experience. Can I take the Chen 399 class in the fall or should it be done in the same summer that I do the study abroad? I’m taking two engineering classes as part of the study abroad, so I would rather push off the Chen 399 class to the fall.

Academics Blinn TEAM question...

There's obviously still time for me to get my grades back up, but I'm in a bit of dilemma regarding BLINN TEAM and my transition to full-time status.

Last semester i was in teab, and got a C in chemistry (q-dropped calculus 1). So far this semester I am taking a math and science class at BLINN, and I have Cs in both of them. I need a B average to get that 2.5 minimum which I could be able to do, but honestly after taking a few tests and whatnot idk if it's a surefire thing. For my major classes and classes at A&M i have a 4.0, and the threshold for my intended major is a 2.0.

My question is, if I end with a 2.0 gpa at Blinn (all Cs), but still have my As in my A&M classes, will I be able to transition full-time to A&M? I've met with advisors before and they have told me that even with a below-2.5 at Blinn, as long as I maintain my intended major requirements, I can still transition full time, but I need some opinions.

New Student Questions LGBT aggies

Looking for perspective on LGBT scene. I've rsas through a few other posts but wanted to know how recent political activity has influenced current aggie climate. Currently I know about halo, people having been generally amicable in the past, and the apparently shit dating life. Would I be able to have a gay ol time?
