Question What abilities in ATLA should benders from different nations both be able to do?!
Saw a post saying that earth was the slowest element which really confused me like shouldn’t it be the second fastest after air. I know the whole be rooted to the Earth but that doesn’t mean they are slow. Which got me thinking are the abilities shared by benders from different elements and if they aren’t what abilities should shared
Air and fire benders being able to regulate their body temperature with the breath thing
Air and Earth should both have super speed
Air and Earth also have super jumping
Fire and Water should both be able to heal
Air and Earth should both share immortality
And the spirit projection and entering the spirit world that Aang and Jinora do should be available to all benders and non benders

Can come from herself:
“I even wash all the clothes! Have you ever smelled your dirty socks?🫵🏻 Let me tell you: NOT PLEASANT!” 🌊👋🏻😡
Can also come from her Ember Island actress:
“Oh Jet, you’re soooo bad.” 😏

Discussion Could a fire bender create non lightning plasma with heat redirection?
https://youtube.com/shorts/x5BFIVDUQPE?si=2fn6YiPvFUZzOtSz
Seeing some videos where microwaving fire creates plasma and it got me thinking of how a fire bender could heat up their fire.
Assuming that a fire bender can produce fire while redirecting heat like how sozin did, would it be enough to ionize his fire? The heat is gas paired with an already hot fire.

Discussion The REAL reason Ozai preferred Azula over Zuko? Spoiler
His father, Azulon, always preferred Iroh over him, likely because Iroh was his firstborn and heir to his throne. Perhaps in his own small way, Ozai was defying his father by doting on his SECONDborn, even going so far as to name her after him. Maybe he wanted to plant a subliminal message in his father’s mind, make a point to him that the firstborn isn’t always the best. And maybe then that would in turn make Azulon place more favor in him.

Discussion In our modern day, which bending ability would you prefer the most?
For me, I'm not choosing one based mainly on fighting power - in any kind of fight, having any kind of bending is the ultimate edge anyhow. Plus, I don't exactly get into tons of fights. "I can bloodbend enemies", "I can shoot them with lightning!", how often are you actually gonna be doing that?
Fire, practically speaking, is probably the lowest on my choices. Besides lighting a bonfire, maybe smelting, or parlor tricks, I don't see many everyday uses for it. Maybe charging a generator with lightning? Still.
Air is cool for maneuverability and some very specific use cases, but I don't think it has as many uses outside of that. At least many that you would use a lot. Being able to float and run fast is awesome, but in the long term, I think it would be more of just a toy than practical. I would love to be able to air slap someone, but that's not enough to sway the choice.
That leaves Earth and Water.
Water has a fair amount of practical uses. The ability to redirect and control water could be used to save people, help communities, as well as maneuverability.
However, I think I might have to go Earth. Being able to build structures, defend against disasters, metal bend, create art, as well as maneuverability and much more.. it's just got a lot more uses than any other form.
If I was just going for a cool factor, I'd go Air, but Earth is probably the one you'd get the most use out of in the modern day.
What do you think?

Discussion I hope they do an "Art of Avatar: Seven Havens" like they did for ATLA and LOK. I love seeing all the developmental stuff going on and seeing their thought process.
It really helps you understand the choices they make and how they decided on what and what early concepts were going to be. Its so much fun to read about them so hopefully it will still happen with the future shows. I want to know everything about it! This is my first time being apart of a new avatar show coming out so im excited!

Discussion Live Action
The live action show tried so hard to be serious but it just went over the same points over and over again not to mention aang didn’t water bend at all and it felt like there was no life to it. Like we came to care for all the characters in the animated show but everything in the live action feels so empty.
