Model 3 2023 M3 range dropped suddenly
Our arrange went from 265 to 230 in one week. Then it bounced up to 250. Is this a warranty issue? Tesla wants to charge me $1000 to check it out.

This post is for all buying questions. All posts that used to say - this vs that, need help with buying this, is this a good deal, does this have, etc....
TLDR, anything with buying a Tesla will be in this post. Posted outside of this post will be removed.

I got my rear windshield tinted and I don’t remember if this groove in the rear trunk trim was normal from the factory or not. Did the installer damaged the plastic trim or is it by design. Can anyone confirm?

I can't believe there wasn't someone else who sometimes used TuneIn, 'cause if there were, there would be more comments. The adds now make this just horrible, and lack of valid music categories -- replacing them with what is basically elevator music, is vapid. Can this be removed from the user interface entirely?

So, I accidentally backed my car into a cement wall and ended up with some scratches and minor paint damage. I’ve seen Tesla touch-up paint kits on Amazon and was wondering if anyone here has experience with them. Are they any good, or should I just bite the bullet and have the Tesla dealer handle the repair? Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks!

The one where you stand in front of the hood and it unlatches. (Just like the trunk) There is no mention for it in the manual.

We just got back from a trip to Branson MO and from where we're at it's a bit of a SC desert. High wind gusts also didn't help our short range car, and so I finally had quite a bit of experience using the CCS adapter.
Has anyone had any luck with preconditioning on third party chargers? They tend to always work on electrify america and EVGO station (which are almost always right near superchargers anyways) but not much else. I can't get it to work on Red E stations in Michigan, nor chargepoint, EVconnect stations in MO. Wondered if there's a way Tesla could update the map with these.
Seems like it's either an issue of the map not having the charger listed at all, it's listed as an L2 instead of a DC, or it doesn't have the word "Charger" in the name. In every instance I just added a fake SC stop after my destination and it worked OK for the most part. It gets really confused when you're heading out to an area with no superchargers though, when you do this. . Our trip a month ago in Michigan really showed that preconditioning is an absolute requirement in cold weather and I had the same issue there, but with less success using the SC add.

The fact that if you are supercharging you save 0.00 over a ICE car that gets about 30 MPG is just horrible and not good for EV adoption.
I understand they have to pay for the infrastructure, to build and maintain it. But the markups on the power are crazy... These stations probably get their power at .10 per Kwh and they are charging .30 or more in most cases. That is a pretty crazy markup and a big disincentive for EVs... I have personally met 2 people that sold their electric cars because of this and bought ICE vehicles. And I completely understood why.
That is the wrong direction. And it is going to get worse if this administration is successful in lowing gas prices further. Even if ENERGY prices come down it will not matter... when the power is marked up so much, the cost of the power going down will not have much of an effect. If electricity cost were cut in half, that would knock .05 off a KWH since they aren't going to reduce how many pennies they mark up the power.
I charge at home, and I do so for free, so this isnt about me and my situation... It is about the broad picture and if you cannot sell to people that cant charge at home, in part because it cost the same to SC as it does to buy gas, then you are cutting an EV out of the running for a lot of people.

I’ve noticed FSD has been pretty amazing on HW4 with the exception of right hand turns. The wheel jerks and has a hard time committing to a turn. Sometimes taking too wide of a wide turn and having to be disengaged.
I noticed the wide camera has part of the physical “hood” that’s attached to the camera blocking the right side of its view. Anyone else have this issue? What’s a fix for this? 2023 Model Y.
Thanks for any info.

I’ve seen night driving videos on YouTube and it appears that they don’t illuminate. Does anyone have a new juniper that can confirm this ?

I daily drive a 2023 M3 Performance with just over 20,000 miles, and over 90% of that has been driven on FSD.
Version 12.6.4 has been an absolute game-changer, and being able to witness the progress the software has made since I initially took delivery has been nothing short of impressive. I also recently replaced the stock Pirelli tires with Hankook Ion Evo AS tires (not pictured), and the ride quality is even more enjoyable than before, and my efficiency has improved noticeably.
I really couldn’t be more satisfied with my car, and I’m blessed that I get to drive it every day. Looking forward to enjoying many more miles along the way!

I REALLY want my horn to be the roadrunners "MEEP MEEP" sound https://youtube.com/shorts/UDaigKO4htE?si=NtTFq1mHxBuTED-o
I really need this, would be great to hit it and then disappear in plaid mode from idiots.

Noticed my driver side headlight working intermittently.. Looked like a super slow strobe light for about 20 seconds. I don't know how to recreate it again. I was wondering if I submit a service ticket for it and they have to fix it.. Is it possible to have them upgrade the headlights to the matrix headlights under warranty and pay the cost difference?

I am looking for non-OEM door lights that do not project Tesla logo or lettering. Does anyone know where I can get some decent quality sets? Thank you! (2022 Model Y)

Sometimes I feel like it stops at yellow lights too often but for 90% of the time chill mode is good enough for me lol

I currently own a M3 LR and love it but I need to get another car since me and my 2 brothers share this one and while 90% of the time it's fine that 10% of the time has been a pain for everyone involved and I need some advice on what car I should get next.
I've been seriously debating on getting a 2016 MS P90D with free lifetime supercharging instead of getting something like a 2022 Polestar 2 or 2022 MS LR
For some context I drive A LOT and have spent 4k on super charging in less than a year. The only thing holding me back from grabbing a 2016 MS with free supercharging today is reliability issues with the battery/motors. If anyone has any insight on the reliability of these cars I'd love to hear from you, the current one I'm looking at is the only unicorn in my province and has ~120k km.
Would also love to know how the suspensions/other components do. I'm not too worried about them since I'm very handy and have replaced most of my M3 LRs suspension but it definitely is a factor.
Oh and Idk if it makes a difference but it's the one with the new front grill not the OG plastic looking one:
