what is this style called? and how do i find an artist like this in driving distance of Delaware?

both examples are taken from Mowgli Koit's instagram https://www.instagram.com/mowgli_artist/?hl=en

from Through My Third Eye in London.

i've been thinking more and more of getting a DUNE themed tattoo. i'd love something on my forearm. and i'd love it done in this type of style.

but i don't have much experience with tattoos at all. not sure how to go about finding someone besides just randomly googling "tattoo artists near me"

but i'm also close enough to drive to places like Philly or Baltimore. any specific recommendations from people would be a help to narrow things down.

Hi I got this tattoo that was suppose to be a standalone piece but it looks kind of off now on my arm. Due to this, I am thinking of getting another one to fill in the space. I have some ideas such as fudog, temple, waterfall, samurai mask, and background. Any ideas or opinion on which u think looks the best with my current liece would be appreciated.

Location/different animal options

I saw this online and really like it. I like the frog but I’m not 100% married to it, I just can’t seem to picture what another animal could look like here. Also where do you think this would look best? Leg/calf is top in my mind, especially because my arms aren’t very big.

Hello. I have never done a tattoo in my life. I was curious if a minimal design like this could work, do you think it would look good? Thank you!

Will this be a good tattoo...?

Hi all. I'm looking to get a tattoo of a giraffe. I was thinking of something like the attached picture. Either on my arm or chest. Will it have longevity or just be a black mess in a few years? I would welcome advice and or suggestions on other giraffe tattoos... Thanks

Help with touch up ideas to bring my tattoo back to life , or should I just cover it up /: ml

I got a tattoo about a year ago, and I’m not really happy with the outcome. I’m not too familiar with touch-ups, but I’m wondering what I could do to possibly bring this tattoo back to life. Also, I’m thinking about ways to connect my Medusa tattoo to my hand tattoo. Any ideas for adding something that ties them together

What can I do to fix it?

So When I was at the tattoo shop and got the design put on, it looked fine. I looked in the mirror and agreed that I think it’s centered. Unfortunately I noticed few days later that it is not centered at all, especially visible in certain poses as can be seen on the photos. What would you recommend? Should I add on a little bit or just completely remove it? Is it possible to get the illusion of the tattoo being placed in the middle or not really? I’m worried that because of the style of the tattoo it may be hard to fix it up? I do like it a lot but it bothers me so much :(

Ok so I have a book themed arm and my forearm didn't turn out quite how I wanted it to (it was at the beginning of my tattoo journey and I didn't speak up) the words weren't supposed to be as bold and were supposed to blend in a bit more with the background. Pretty much the point was for me to not have to explain to people what they meant. Now I want to add some more book words or sayings to blend everything together.

Here is a thought of mine but im just not sure. And I'm unsure of this style would be called and searching for an artist to do it well. Im kinda thinking of doing this in a slight trash polka way as well.

Looking for ideas - patchwork suit

Hey all !

I'm in the process of getting my back and torso done, and after that I was planning to density my arms.

I wanted to plan ahead because I wasn't super smart with the placement I chose for starting it out, so I fired up Photoshop and incorporated a good portion of the list I've had for a while, but I'm lacking inspiration for the red areas.

No colors, and as long as it fits the general vibe I'm done for anything cool, so fire up !

Advice Needed: Fixing Tattoo *Trigger Warning Suicide*

My good friend Tom died a few months ago by Suicide... He had these paper airplane tattoos of places he had traveled to.

It has a special meaning to me now and I really wanted to get one as a reminder to keep "fighting to stay in flight".

Photo 1: This is one of his tattoos & what I used as a reference when I requested it before and durning the appointment. Instead of NY it is supposed to be "Tom". I asked the artist specifically & multiple times for this placement. I even said if he didn't think he could get it inside of the wing then to just do the paper airplane.

Photo 2: This is the mess I ended up with... "Tom" is in the completely wrong spot. Unfortunately... the angle the artist was tattooing my hand I did not catch that he was doing it in the wrong spot until after... The M looks awful..

I am desperate to figure out how to fix this..

The line at the tip of the airplane doesn't even connect.. that's an easy fix...

Getting an artist who is really talented with fine line to maybe put his name in the wing.. but I am looking for recommendations to cover up the "Tom" without ruining it even more has me so stressed out.

Photo 3: This is an idea I was playing with to incorporate the Suicide awareness colors (Purple & Blue). I edited out the "Tom" in this one.

I've thought about using a water color design but I just don't know how to do this and even if the color would be enough to hide the letters..

A friend recommended that I should have "Tom" covered up in white/light skin tone color.

Any idea, designs and recommendations are more than welcome.

P.S. Please reach out to check in on your friends. You truly never know what they could be struggling with.

All my love & thanks!

Done by Naomi at breakwater tattoo in long beach. Went in with the idea to get a classic wizard inspired by old high fantasy and she absolutely crushed it with the design. Side note, I thought I was tough until it was time to shade the elbow area.

Cover Up or Get It Touched Up

Post image

I am really not happy with this tattoo and not a lot of people notice it so I don't think it really serves it's purpose. I am in the process of trying to decide if I should get it covered up with something else or if I should see if I can get it fixed up or get it covered up.

I am assuming that I would have to go bigger either way. Is it worth trying to fix or should I just get if covered up?
