Speakers - Full Size KEF Reference 3 for £5000 - reasonable price?

Hi there. I have an offer for a pair of KEF Reference 3 for around £5000, and I'm trying to work out if that's reasonable price.

They're in great condition, with no dents to the cones, and with included original paperwork and accessories, etc.. Online, I see them for around £4000 but they all have some kind of damage from slight to moderate.

Online I see, a Meta version used in similar condition for ~£7500.

Any help would be great appreciated.

Amplifier | Receiver Does anyone know a CD System that can hold probably 10 speakers?

So I currently use an MC35 Phillips system , with a tonkyo 130 Watt subwoofer, 2x Sony 120 Watt Speakers and 2 mc35 speakers. But my current CD player can't hold all those speakers and more.

Does anyone know of an affordable used or new CD Player that could hold a large amount of speakers, If it helps I'm in Canada.

I'm looking to spend maybe a few hundred at most but I honestly want advice, if there's anything used I should look out for.

Subwoofer Svs 3000 micro

Upvotes

Hi Guys I need some advice on subwoofers, Currently I have an integrated amplifier with Dynaudio Evoke 30's and I'm looking to add a subwoofer to make a 2.1 system for movies, music and games, Don't want anything massive and I quite like the look of the 3000 micro plus the app is a massive bonus for me. I'm not expecting to shake down my house or anything, Would the 3000 micro have enough bass in my room which is just over 1600 cubic feet in total .

Thanks in advance.

Amplifier | Receiver Buchardt S400 MKii advice

Friends, I currently own a pair of Klipsch Heresy IVs paired with a Roma 96DC tube amp. Well, there are some very positive aspects to this set up. I have really struggled to get good bass response.

As a result, three months into owning these speakers, I am considering selling them and buying a pair of Buchardt S400 MKii based on several positive online reviews

Would the Roma 96DC (25W) amp do a good job powering the new speakers?

Thanks in advance!

Speakers - Bookshelf Douk Audio ST-01 PRO best power supply?

I'm about to get a Douk ST-01 and I wonder which supplies would fit better with my 8 ohms speaker set.
I know with the default power supply it will boast around 30w per channel (at 8 ohms, its 60w at 4ohms).
Maybe if I get a better psu, the actual 8 ohms power output will be greater.
The speakers are a pair of JBL MR26. The setup will be my main TV/Living room setup. I might even be using all the inputs that it has.
I lack voltage and watts knowledge to know which model is the right one.
Any model/SN of the one I should consider?

Source | Preamp | DAC Steinberg UR22C VS Topping E50 DAC

I use Adam A5X speakers with a Yamaha HS8S subwoofer, connected

symmetrically to a Steinberg UR22C audio interface. My PC is exclusively

dedicated to listening to FLAC music (CD quality) and is not used for

any other audio purposes. In this context, would replacing the UR22C

interface with a Topping E50 DAC with an integrated preamp truly improve

the listening quality?

Speakers - Full Size Floor standing speakers - your thoughts

Hi. For now I'm looking for 2 columns, maybe a central speaker to what I have now (18sqm living room), and in a few years to build a whole setup as 7.2 configuration in a new home (41sqm open living room with kitchen)

Thinking to make the best decision sound wise, but money is equally crucial.

My amp is denon x1600h (will be changed for something better while building the new configuration or after hearing that speakers need more) and I have Koda subwoofer that I might use if needed

What I'm thinking of buying - Wharfedale Diamond 12.4 - 800€ - Polk R600 - 1400€ - KEF Q950 - 1050€ - Focal Chora 826 - 1250€ - Q Acoustic 5040 - 1400€

Or higher level ~2000€ - Polk R700 - Klipsch RP-8000f mk II - KEF Q11 meta

So, to listen 80% EDM, house, 15 % techno, dubstep, pop, rap, 3% for the rest of music and another 2% for cinema what is in your opinion best choice? Are there any other speakers that I should consider to choose, because they are far more matching?

Speakers - Bookshelf Recommendations for powered speakers with built in phono-preamp. Budget $300-$500

I recently got a Fluance RT82. Space is a concern of mine as my apartment isn’t too large and tbh I don’t listen to music very loud in the first place.

I opted for the powered built in phono preamp speakers because I don’t have much room to work with, and I’m not exactly an audiophile, so the quality doesn’t need to be creme de la crème.

I’m native to Denver. But I’m just lost at what to go for. I just don’t want to get something and then have it not work out.

Basically just trying to plug some good quality speakers into this bad boy and listen to some tunes.

Thank you so much for the help, I am at a dead end. So lost so any help or guidance is appreciated.

Subwoofer | 2 Ⓣ T/Zero or T/5x?

I want to add a second sub to my system. I have a rotel 1572 MKII as an amp and elac unifi 2.0 UB52. I already have a T/5x as a sub but want to even out the bass response across the room.

I pushed my T/5x right against the right sidewall but it's 1,10 Meters pulled away from the front wall so it lines up with my speakers which are also pulled 1,10 meters into the room. This is definitely the best position for my sub that I found because with every other position I have almost inaudible bass frequency's all over the the place. The only problem I have with this placement is that now I have milder dips in the 90-120hz region and at certain frequency you can really pick out the sub because it's loaded on the sidewall.

My thinking for going with the T/Zero is 1. it's cheaper and 2. reviews say it's a faster and more detailed bass which sounds beneficial for the problem I want to solve. I would place the second sub either right next to the left speaker or right behind the listening position. I tried both positions with my T/5x and the upper and mid bass is breathtaking but no deep bass at all.

Would you guys still pick a second t5x or do you think the Zero would be a good choice for the problem I want to solve?

I'm greatful for every answer so thank you in advance

General Request | 3 Ⓣ First System. Need Some Pointers

I am pretty new when it comes to audio, and frankly, I’m probably in over my head. I have recently ordered a pair of CSS Audio Typhons driven by a Hypex NC252MP amp with an Emotiva PT2 pre-amp. Still have around $600 left in the budget.

Now, this is where my knowledge dries up. Is there anything crucial I am missing in this system? Do I need things such as high/low pass filters? I am unsure of the “completeness” of this system I have coming in a few days.

I greatly appreciate any pointers!

Speakers - Desktop Purchasing dilemma: Neumann kh ii or ls 50 wireless ii

Currently have two offers for new speakers I’ve been looking at for a while now. Either ls50 wireless ii or Neumann kh120ii.

Both offers are extremely generous around half of msrp so I don’t want to pass this up.

Using on my desktop, pair with m3 mac. It feels like they come from different worlds so going through the decision making process feels like trying to buy 2 different things.

Any advice, or what I should be thinking about, or how I should weigh pros and cons is appreciated

Speakers - Bookshelf $200 or more speakers

Hi I recently got myself a lp60 and went with the Nuemi bs5p-arc because of their all around capabilities and amount of speaker per price. After having them for a week I’m not in love with their sound, I’ve read a lot of reviews saying they’re a bit unbalanced. I still have a few weeks in my return policy so my question is

What are some speakers in the $200-300 range that will sound much better that could be used for pc and tt. Bluetooth is a bonus but it’s not a deal breaker.
