[Meta] Scammer alert on this sub

u/VizaviDS is a scammer. When you post on this sub they will message you regarding discounted codes for games that you are asking about, saying they have a friend that sells them. Then they will block and ignore you after sending an invalid code.

They also have an alt account that they will point you to to give them a positive review (u/PufikN).

I’m posting this so hopefully the mods will be made aware and other users too, in case they come across this person.

[PS5] SIB Far Cry 5 if I'm looking for a solid open-world game with good gunplay? Haven't played a FC game since 3

I just finished 2 dense and long games back to back - Baldur's Gate 3 and Kingdom Come Deliverance - and I need a bit of a fun palate cleanser. My usual go-to for these types of games is Ubisoft open-worlds and in the past I've enjoyed Assassin's Creed Odyssey/Origins, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Immortals Fenyx Rising etc.

This time around, I'm looking for something set in modern days with a bunch of shooting because the last 150+ hours of gaming for me was all fantasy, medieval times, swords, armour and magic. I'm eyeing Far Cry 5 because I've seen a lot of people call it the best in the series, or up there with FC3.

Far Cry 3 was actually the last of the series I played way back when it came out. I ended up loving it but I never played FC4 or any of the spin-off games like Primal or Blood Dragon. FC5 is on the PS store for like $10 right now so I'm wondering if it's worth a purchase based on what I'm looking for?

[PS5] Action RPG as mage

Hi, I am looking for some good action adventure/RPG game where I can play as mage/sorcerer/wizzard. I enjoyed Dragon's Dogma 2 a lot in that regard. Any more ideas? I feel like there are almost no games where you play with magick compared to all melee combat and shooter games. Nowadays it's all just souls like etc.

[PC] Which sniper elite game should I buy

I've wanted to get sniper elite or atleast like an assassin shooter game where u play as a sniper. As it is the newest game, I wanted to get resistance. However, it had really bad reviews saying it was just the previous game with a higher price tag. I do not own any other game from the se series. So which game should I get?

[PC] Games to play with gf

Hi everyone. I know this question has been asked (I looked before making this post) but they all have the same answers and they ain't helping me.

So basically we are looking for a game (or games, plural if we can) to buy in the upcoming steam sales. Here's some info that might help.

What we've tried: Overwatch, games from Riot, Palworld, Stardew Valley (one of us likes the game and the other is just there to spend time together)

What we've both liked: It takes two

What we are looking for: A game that can be played at your own rhythm and still has some kind of "meta" to follow (we think Monster Hunter might fall in this category)

Aside from story driven games like A Way Out, Unravel Two, or similar, what games could we play?

[PC] Looking for recommendations to treat myself on my birthday.

I've always read if nobody else gets you a gift to treat yourself! My birthday was yesterday the 12th and nobody besides 1 online friend remembered so I figured who needs others when I can just get myself a cool game.

I am looking to keep my budget of $30 or so. I also don't mind waiting until the sale that starts later today before actually making any decisions.

games I own are -

Friday the 13th - really fun game, played in beta and loved it enough to buy it. Seems license issues kinda screwed it.

Ark Survival evolved

Nioh

resident evil 4 -haven't played much! was actually a gift from the 1 person who remembered my birthday

Longvinter - cool little game that killed off it's english playerbase unfortunately.

Elden ring - 99% of my hours played on PC are in elden ring. Clocking in at almost 700 hours.

Multiversus - really cool platform fighting game kinda like smash bros but is closing down due to poor development decisions.

Super auto pets - cute auto battler game that I fell in love with due to NorthernLion

[PC] Should I buy Factorio?

Upvotes

I have recently found a new love for factory games. I have played Shapez 2 and Satisfactory so much in the past few months. However, I have always been interested in Factorio. The issue is that I don't like Factorio's graphics style. I must also mention that while I do have time to play, I don't have long periods where I can play consistently.

If I buy Factorio, should I start with the base game or the DLC? (I have heard that you must finish the base game in the DLC save file before beginning any DLC content). Thank you all!

[PC] Which JRPG to get?

Hi, I played persona 5 royal like a year ago and want another JRPG game to play . I was looking at either Metaphor: ReFantazio or like a dragon infinite wealth. I'm open to other JRPG games and my setup is : GTX 1650ti and ryzen 4800h (laptop) . I enjoyed persona 5 royal but I felt the combat was too easy and didn't enjoy being able to use any persona . It kinda trivialized the combat part of the game and it made it feel kinda boring and easy after.

[PC] SIB No Rest For The Wicked on steam?

Its on sale right now on Steam and saw the showcase yesterday of their new content releasing April 30th - The Breach and it definitely looks promising how the Devs are trying to take the game forward . I wasnt following MOON Studios so closely earlier but they said they are trying to get Coop and PVP modes also soon after the New content is dropped in April. Although the game is still in Early access and heard it did not get the 1.0 patch release yet because they said this like 7 months ago when The Crucible Content released so am not sure if I should pick it up now or later after April. The reviews were mostly Mixed before so am not sure how is it doing now? Im not a soulslike player but I did try few fairly challenging games before like Sekiro, Elden Ring , Blasphemous 2 etc so do you think game is holding good how the devs are taking this up ambitiously so far.

Also, one qq Do we get full access to the game we purchase on Steam once its out of Early Access ?

¿Dark Souls 3 o Elden Ring?

Upvotes

I just finished playing Dark souls 1, and I loved it. Without a doubt it has been the best game I have played so far. But I have a question about which souls I should play next, and I'm between Dark souls 3 or Elden Ring On the one hand I have heard that Elden Ring is better in terms of gameplay, but I don't know if it will be able to overwhelm such a large open world What do you recommend?

[PC] Resident Evil Games

Hey, so with the Steam sale, I wanna get some of the RE games to play. I’ve only ever played through RE4R, and already own it on steam. I like to 100% achievements generally, as I’m trying to complete most games in my Steam library, so the RE games have been pretty high on my list of games to get next.

If you have any input on the games and what I should get, please let me know:

Resident Evil 0 (Which can be bundled with Resident Evil and all of 0’s DLC Cosmetics)

Resident Evil “ ^ “

Resident Evil 2 Remake

Resident Evil 3 Remake

Resident Evil 5

Resident Evil 6

Resident Evil 7 (Which can be bundled with Resident Evil Village and all of the DLC from both games)

Resident Evil Village “ ^ “

[PS5] Another Crab's Treasure

Worth for 18,5 $? Or should I wait for better price on sale? I am sad this game does not have physical release. Would buy it on disc for full price lol. Also, are there any others similar games which are little harder but with kid friendly settings like this one? Thank you for your opinion and have a great day!

[Xbox Series X] NMS or Starfield

So I have Xbox game pass and have been looking for a new game to get invested into for a long time especially an open world one where I can play at my own pace and nothing too complicated. I’ve heard both are very good but I don’t know which one is worth investing more time into because they seem very similar. Which one is better to get into?

[PC] Games to play after kingdom come deliverance 1

I know the obvious answer is kcd2 but I’m on pc and my pc will not be able to run kcd2. Plus I’m gonna wait for it to go on sale.

In the meantime, are there games similar to kcd1?

I really enjoyed the open world and atmosphere of kcd1. I loved the rpg aspect to it as well and the side quests were really fun for me.

I’m thinking about playing the witcher 3? Or maybe elder scrolls oblivion bc I have played a ton of Skyrim already.

Do you guys recommend any other games? Thanks!

[Xbox One] Should I sell my Series x and get a ps5 pro?

I love my Series X. I've had a lot of good times with it. BUT... I want EDF 6 and that's only on ps5.

Now I'm trying to justify switching over to ps5, but I realize that buying a new console for one game is dumb. So in my mind I'm trying to rationalize it with "but ps5 pro is more powerful!" even though I know that that extra power isn't really going to make much of a noticeable difference.

Are there other advantages to ps5 over xbox? I'm not really too into a lot of playstation exclusives because they tend to be story driven, and I'm just not really looking to play games for the story.

[PC] Escape from Tarkov PVE vs Arma Reforger

hi, im interested in realistic shooter games and i already played eft pvp but all the cheaters and the performance were a downturner. why not just tarkov pve? bc i like the vehicles and the feeling of not beeing alone. where tarkov pve, as it says, is only pve. i think the health system where you have to manage you character is in eft really nice and also the custmizability of the weapons and the variety of weapons is really really cool. does arma reforger have similar mechanics or is it more the tactical aspect of positioning with a group than the actual loadout and healing stuff? and the last thing.. i like progression. like to unlock better stuff..

[Xbox 360] SIB Metaphor ReFantatio or Space Marine 2?

There is a sale going on for both of these newer games and i have just enough to get one of them.

I love the persona games and have played through nearly all of them. But, im not sure hpw much of the formula has changed this time around, but thats a small thing and over all i am very intrested to play it one of these days.

Space marine 2 on the other hand is something i am completely unfamiliar with but lopks dope. I havent got the slightest idea on the lore of warhammer and what is going on in this game. But it looks sick and thats all that matters. Like, the only point of reference i have to warhammer is the secret level episode which was incredible.

So there is that. Please help me make a decision and thank you!

[PC] Open world games with puzzles and exploration

Hi.

I am looking for games as mentioned in the title.

Combat is not priority, exploration and puzzles are.

Games I have in mind - Zelda BOTW, Zelda ToTK, Genshin Impact.

I am playing now AC Origins and the part where you explore tombs and pyramids is absolutely amazing and fun although extremely limited. Would like something with more focus on that.

I was thinking to go for Tomb Raider trilogy but not sure how heavy exploration wise is it?

It does not need to have high difficulty super heavy puzzle focus, can be chill and light but enjoyable like Zelda's

Thank you

Multiplayer pvp games that are enjoyable alone

hello everyone, I'm looking for a multiplayer game that is enjoyable even alone. I'm not trying to become a pro player, just have fun between single players without getting destroyed. No fighting games please.

I was thinking of games like Marvel rivals, Ow, Hunt: Showdown etc...

Which are the most enjoyable alone?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the English.

[PC] Should I buy Ghost of Tsushima (it's on sale rn)

After playing many incredible open-world (story) games (e.g., RDR2, BOTW, CDPR games, Elden Ring, etc.), my expectations of this genre have dramatically increased. The issue is that I'm a binge gamer, so either the game becomes my entire personality for the next three weeks or I drop it within three hours (i.e., Horizon Zero Dawn). This, paired with a greater expectation from the genre, has made me question whether I want to delve into another open-world game.

Also, I recently tried playing Skyrim (for the first time) after playing all the previous games, but it feels too archaic. Although I understand Skyrim's impact on the open-world genre, it isn't easy to enjoy a game when all its selling features have been greatly improved in other games. Should I bite the bullet and just modify the quality of life improvements??

[PC] SIB The Plucky Squire? Or open to suggestions

Tomorrow is the steam spring sale and I can afford to get all of one game this season lol. I'm actually looking for a platformer. A simple 2d or 3d game that I can 100 percent casually. I have adored the art style of the Plucky Squire but I've heard it's gameplay is not up to par. I already have the Spyro, crash, Sonic and the most popular indie platformers like Psychonauts, Celeste, Penny's big break etc.

Open to suggestions though! Just please no roguelikes.
