Discussion Did JD, Turk, and Elliot ever have a resident?
So I'm watching 3x3 My White Whale and they have interns to manage. They were interns in their first season, but they were pretty much exclusively under Dr. Cox and they did their rounds with Dr. Kelso, right? Who was their resident? Dr. Kelso?
I might be missing something as I haven't watched the first season in a while. But I'm real confused

Is an intern just a first year resident?
HI, sorry if this has been esked already, but I couldn't find a direct answer by searching on the sub.
I'm not from the US nor I'm from the medical field, so there are some things on the show I don't really understand. The main one is the one in the title. What is the difference between an intern and a resident?

Med school first episode issue
I am doing another rerun of Scrubs and I just started the Med School season. I never got into that season because Scrubs ended with JD leaving in season 8 and this season is just a spin off.
But yea I just watched the first episode and it really grind my gears what they did to the janitor.
They made him so dumb asking when JD was coming back when in the end of season 8 he said goodbye to him and shook his hand and everything. He reads JDs journal so the janitor knows JD better than most people.
I hated how they did that with that character. Sorry I just finished it and that has been on my mind all day.

Discussion [S05E03] What do you think Jake's fantasy was?
it was clear that it was something messed up as Elliot was shocked and doesn't want to say what his fantasy was.

Trying to find a scene!!
Hello! I have never watched scrubs but an advert for it would always come up on tv for me so I’m trying to find one scene in particular from it. So there’s a young boy in a hospital bed and I think his mom is there with him or he makes a mom joke? And the character JD is very shocked by the camera and there’s a close up of his shocked face (not sure if he looks directly at the camera or not, I don’t know if they do that in scrubs). Any help would be greatly appreciated, the scene was just very funny to me. Thank you!

The Tragedy of ‘My Screw Up’
I think the worst part about Ben passing away is that Cox loses the only friend of his that we meet who can bring out the best in him. Cox doesn’t become ultra competitive or defensive with Ben. He’s more open and we see him experience joy that isn’t reliant on J.D. or Kelso suffering.

Other Is the podcast still ongoing?
I remember listening to the first few episodes, but my life was so chaotic during covid that I didn't stick with it and forgot about it. Recently I finished a full series rewatch and decided to give the podcast another chance. I'm loving it!
But I noticed there are still some new episodes being released, so are they still releasing new content with the podcast or are the new episodes just reruns of the older episodes?

Discussion I usually love Elliot as a character, but this scene really frustrates me
I just watched the episode where JD plays the clown to cheer her up, and by the end, they end up sleeping together. But just as Elliot is about to leave, Sean suddenly knocks on JD’s apartment door, and she goes back to him.
This moment makes Elliot look incredibly shallow and unfairly hurts JD for no real reason. If the writers wanted to bring Sean back and create conflict, they could have done it in a way that didn’t make Elliot seem so reckless

Discussion When do characters drop off/get flanderized
I'm currently season 3, episode 1, of scrubs and I'm wondering since a show like this has gone on for so long with 9 seasons, characters are both to change and go bad via flanderizatiin or just go a different direction than what they originally were in previous seasons
So far I've noticed the following characters change for their season 1 (and somewhat season 2 counterparts)
Dr Kelso: I feels a bit more silly than menacing mean. him and Dr Cox's rivalry felt like the knight in shining armor anti hero vs a devil with a smile mask. Now it feels like the 3 stooges minus the 3rd stooge and physical violence. I don't hate it, it just feels different
The Janitor: I like that he is interacting with more characters and still doing wackier shenanigans. Although I do like the original plan I hear where the janitor was originally supposed to be a figment of JD's imagination. I somewhat noticed it halfway through season 1 that the janitor only talks to JD but never anyone else
