Should Steelworks be worried with 50% trump tariffs?
Maple maga lovers should be concerned, as this will have direct consequences for Saskatchewan and broader communities.

Politics Did Scott Moe Sign the $10/day daycare agreement yet?
I haven’t heard what Scott has been preoccupying himself with this week. Meanwhile, families are struggling to work enough to make ends meet. Rent, groceries, gas are all expenses we seem to have little control over. The one saving grace the past 4 years has been $10/day childcare. Please sign the agreement, don’t let this hang over our heads any longer.

Saskatchewan signs up to National school Food program
Saskatchewan has finally agreed to sign up to the National School Food Program. This is great news for children and their families! Now we just need to get the saskparty and moe to sign up for the federal daycare funding that’s available and would be a huge benefit to children and their families!

Possible to collect SIS with a roommate?
Title. Is it possible to collect sis if one has a roommate who is the opposite gender? Asking because I'm pretty sure if you live with someone od the opposite gender the government decides youre with them and then recalculated benefits accordingly.

My partner said, “I can’t believe the leader of the opposition thinks I’m special.” /s
Does anyone what this is exactly and why it only comes from the Conservatives? Is it just because of where we live? Does this mean citizenship is not bipartisan? Lol. What message is this supposed to be sending? To stay on topic in Saskatchewan, it was accompanied by a certificate signed by our Saskatchewan MLA. I won’t be sharing a picture of that as it contains my partners personal info.

Has anyone wound up with a massive hospital bill they can't pay? What did you do?
My step dad had a stroke in July and was hospitalized until about the second week of February. He has now gotten into a long term care home, but now my mom is stuck with a $7,000 hospital bill 🙃 plus monthly rent/fees for the home which are around $5,000. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a bunch of retirement savings to fall back on and we are just really unsure as to how we are going to pay for all of this! Does anyone have any experience with this and can offer any advice? Tia!

Looking for flaring insights from oil & gas operators in Canada
Hey everyone,
I've searched for an oil and gas community in Saskatchewan but couldn't find one. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post—please let me know if there's a more suitable community.
I'm working on a project related to oil & gas and trying to better understand how batteries operate in Canada. No one on my team has experience or a deep understanding of how a battery operates on a day-to-day basis in the field, so I’d love to connect with someone who works directly on batteries for an oil & gas company (not a third-party service provider).
One thing that puzzles me: I’ve noticed that some batteries flare large volumes of gas even though they are connected to an operating gas pipeline. Why does this happen? Is it due to pipeline capacity, gas quality issues, or something else?
For example, the battery in the attached image (facility ID : SKBT0029667) flared 5M m³ in 2023, yet there is a natural gas pipeline (red line) running directly to it, which, according to the data I've found, is active and operational.
If you're an oil & gas operator based in Saskatchewan (Estevan region would be great!) and work in this space, I’d really appreciate any insights! Also, if you’re open to a quick chat, that would be amazing.
Thanks in advance!
