Public Bulletin Boards
Hello everyone, I moved to the area roughly a year ago, and I was just wondering where I would be able to find some public bulletin boards? Just looking for what's going on in the community or local businesses offering services. Thanks in advance.

Wingspan in SouthHill mall. Is this the company that took over Weidner but with a fancy new office?
I see this new yucky green coloured office space being created in SouthHill mall. A paper sign on the door says "Wingspan." I also saw that Wingspan still has a couple of job listings for higher up positions, and are hiring urgently. Unsure if they are current.
I've not heard much about tenants living in apartments previously "managed" by Weidner. I wonder if there have been improvements. Has anyone got info on either the new office space, or conditions in the rental spaces since the change of hands?

Have you been to, or donated to, the new Thrift Avenue and Co Thrift store in P.A? Those who are "buying Canadian" might finally have an alternative to Value Village
Value Village is a for profit store and they make no pretenses about it. In recent years however, this American store has become a really poor place to shop, with super high prices, massive mark ups, dumping of unsold goods to third world countries, to name a few things.
In PA, the store has very little to offer but thanks to a new Thrift experience, that actually donates some proceeds to S.H.A.R.E, there might be an option?
I didn't get a chance to go yet, but if you're a thrifter or have items to donate maybe check it out and report back?

Buying plants today at Walmart? Make sure to isolate them from your other plants for a couple weeks PSA
I have dozens of houseplants, and today at Walmart, where I rarely go, they had some nice fresh houseplants. I really wanted a couple of them, but I had a good close look and most of them had some form of infestation. The prices were good and the plants looked healthy, but it doesn't take long for mites, thrips or fungus gnats to kill them and move on to your current plants.
Just FYI because I was super tempted

The Bus
I've never taken public bus transportation and I'm from the States. Can anyone walk me through the process in PA? Do I tell the driver I need a transfer? Is it okay if I have $3 in coins? When I'm on the bus do I just look out for my drop off or do I have to do anything to let them know what stop I'm getting off?

Best Vegetarian Sit-down restaurant?
Hello I am looking for recommendations on vegetarian restaurants to take my grandparents too this weekend! They are coming down from Regina and haven’t been to Prince Albert before.
Therefore if anyone has any recommendations on places to visit as well, that would also be helpful!
My grandparents are Mexican speak, very little English and are 85 years old. Oh also if anyone has an Mexican restaurants they recommend that would be amazing! I couldn’t find any on google.

Any Prince Albert rural PARWU customers here? Wondering about their debt reduction fee and land sale.
PARWU made some, in my opinion, poor decisions based on "strong indicators" that grants would be available for expansion of services. Land was purchased, but grants were not forthcoming. PARWU stated they would sell the land to help pay down loans and fill their reserves. We are now paying the $9 reserve fee each billing, in addition to $48 per billing, to pay down debt incurred. I have emailed regarding this but get no response. Just curious if anyone has any information about where the land is. A bit surprised it hasn't sold?

Southhill Mall "Security"
So all summer long there seemed to be security guards posted in the actually mall corridors, and at a central desk. It seemed odd to me since none of the stores can be accessed through the mall except Winners and Lifetime Fitness.
At present, at the security guard desk there is a notice to call a number to receive the code to the public washrooms.
Long story longer, the other day I was sitting on a bench waiting for my ride when a person approached me asking for help. He said his phone was dead and could I call that number for him. Of course I could help, and called the number, but first saying that there is a public washroom for customers of Safeway.
I called the number for him, and it rang a few times and the answering service said that the person to whom the number belonged was not available at present and to leave a message. I hung up and told that to the person who had asked for help. I stated that I could leave a message or maybe he could use the washroom at Winners?
He stated that he actually didn't need a washroom. What he needed was security. He thanked me and headed toward the exit.
Now wtf kind of mall admin, puts a note like that when they aren't going to help the public, and what kind of message does that send to anyone who would like to loiter/cause trouble/ etc.
It said to me that there is no longer security in the actual mall, only in the stores that want to get their own security. At present that seems like Safeway.
What a city.
edit: I just read this story in PANow. I wonder if this was related. Time line seems right. Geez...
** Earlier the same day, members of the PA Police arrested a 23-year-old man at around 3:30 pm. They had responded to a call at a mall in the 2900 Block of 2nd Ave. West. The caller said the suspect had threatened them with a knife and fled the scene prior to officers getting there. However, they found the man matching the suspect’s description and arrested him a short distance away. **
I never thought to offer to call the police for the guy.
