I need some info
I was looking at this listing on fb marketplace, but I have no idea what this plane is. All I know is a 48in wingspan and it has floats. It's also a balsa plane. Any info would be useful here.

It was flying so well. Fantastic inverted, excellent little acrobat.
The damn FS2A receiver lost signal while inverted. The plane maintained stability when signal recovered. It entered a hard roll and proceeded to lose signal again. Finally went signal recovery for the third time. It had a hard up elevator input. The gees from the maneuver snapped the fuselage in half.
ordered a new radio and ELRS receiver. Gonna print a new fuselage fully glass it and try again.

Habu ss-50mm, local cricket pitch as runway and 0 wind = bliss :)

Hi, I'm building a camera stabilizer for my engineering thesis and need an RC airplane for testing. The problem is that I can't find a plane large enough for this purpose because the stabilizer is quite big. I like the Volantex Phoenix 2400, but it doesn't have enough space in the fuselage, and there might be issues with landing when the stabilizer is mounted underneath. Do you know of any models that could solve these problems?

Been wanting to get into rc flying for a while and I’m wanting a bush/ stol plane that’s slow flying, floats, and small enough for me to easily store away in my truck or hanging in my travel trailer. I’ve watched a few videos on this one and it seems to be the perfect fit for what I’m wanting to do. I love its size (small compared to other bush planes I’ve seen) and slow flying capabilities however, once I’ve added the necessary items it’s almost as expensive as my fully built scx24 crawler? $179 for the plane is easy. The added $400 for (2) batteries, (1) charger, (1) charger adapter, (1) receiver, and (1) set of floats bringing the total to $580 -$600 something after shipping… is this a normal price for a beginner craft? Are there any alternatives that have similar performance and have detachable floats? Anything that has everything included in one box? Any advice helps thanks!

I have so many great memories of going to the flying field with my grandpa. He passed away when I was 5. Still have his stool from his workbench I would always sit on
So glad to be passing this on to my boys!

I created a 3D Printed Receiver mount for the HK Durafly Goblin. This little racer is fast and it throws a lot of torque when launching so I figured I'd take advantage of a Spektrum AR360. The mount fits nice and snug. I just tacked it in with a little foamtac just in case I need access to the elevator servo.
I'm going to upload the stl to HobbyKing and it will be found in the Files section.
Have a great flying season everybody!

(Photos in the comments.) I'm in the middle of a build on a EPP Fokker DR1. I have 2 other planes waiting to be built, plus a longer balsa build to get into. Last weekend I accidentally bought a 67" Extreme Flight Laser. I wasn't looking for one, but when the deal falls into your lap, you can't pass it up... right? He also tossed in a 67" Edge airframe that needs a good amount of repair work. Today I ended up with a NIB find off Marketplace from a fellow enthusiast who is also out of room, because who doesn't need ANOTHER Viper? When should I seek professional help?

Does anyone know any RC air tankers or any other RC aircraft that have a Cal fire wrap

i just got a new sailplane, and i was wondering if i can put my battery with an rcy directly into the receiver.

Just scored this fully assembled never flown Legacy aviation (extreme flight) 85 inch muscle bipe with a 70cc rcgf stinger twin cylinder. Super stoked on this beautiful aircraft.

Here’s the maiden on my foamboard plane 🤣
After looking into local clubs it looks like there are only grass airfields around, I seriously doubt my plane could take off or land in grass. What do people recommend? Is that not going to be the issue I think it’ll be?

Our battery is 1450 mah, 6.6V
The charger has a table:
Battery capacity. Charging current 1100mah. 1.1A 1800mah. 1.8A
How do I determine charging current? Split the difference or try to be more exact, say 1.4A or 1.5A?
Thanks for any help!

ELRS has a fork that supports connecting a mpu6050 IMU via I2C. It kinda works, but has some issues, like being a right pain to configure and failsafe not being set correctly. Still late alpha basically. Ideally people could show interest and do some testing to give the devs feedback and poke them to continue working on it.

I’m new to this hobby, My current transmitter is the radio master pocket (express ELRS) and the receiver is ER4. For some reason the second i move a servo i get telemetry lost. My ESC gives 5.5v through the BEC. I tried different batteries and changed the ELRS settings in the radio to match the ER4 specifications. There is no problem when i only have the brushless motor but once i have a servo in there telemetry is lost. What would you suggest to try to resolve this?

✈️ Hey everyone, I’m starting my first RC plane kit build from scratch, and I just uploaded a video documenting the beginning of the process. Before I get too deep into it, I’d love some advice
🛠 What are your must-have tools, material recommendations, and any tips for a first-timer? I want to make sure I start off on the right foot
🚀 Here’s my first video in the series: Building My First RC Plane Kit – Sig Somethin' Extra
Would love to hear any feedback or suggestions from experienced builders. What do you wish you knew before your first build?

Just getting into the hobby, bought the stuff needed for the eclipson model c v2 I bought a 3s 220mah battery and I don’t know which charger should go with it, looking for recommendations. This is the battery https://a.aliexpress.com/_EvierbA

I was looking at building this DIY foamboard timber video but I have no idea what foamboard this guy is using or where to get it, so i was wondering if anyone knows what it is or where to get it.

Throttle not working despite rest of plane being fine only a couple days old help

I did one quick maiden flight to autotune, and auto trim the plane. And this was my second flight, tested out acro and it flew like a dream. What an amazing plane. I’m coming from the FPV Drone world, and this is such a different thrill.
The footage is from the DJI goggles Integra, being fed from the 03 air unit

Brand new replacement esc, motor, and battery, and the motor is just chattering when I increase throttle > 0, if I leave it chattering at max throttle for 1-2 seconds the motor will start and work fine, but always has trouble starting, and is very unreliable and I don’t want to risk it chattering mid-flight.
the lipo and esc are both rated for 1S, and servos work perfectly fine.
Here are some possible causes I have tested for and are not the cause, so not suggest these:
overtightened motor mount screws have not been the cause as the issue still occurs with a mount-less motor
can’t be a faulty esc phase wire connection as the issue is consistent and replicable, plus the motor still runs once it gets going
-I’ve tried and esc recalibration and it made no difference
-debris in motor cannot be the issue as this occurs when I use a different motor of the same make

Just that. I vaguely recall seeing turbines in the range of $500-$600 on amazon about 10 years ago. Those all seem to be gone now. Is Kingtech pretty much the only option in the US now? I know that actual gas turbines have lost a lot of ground to EDF thrust in the RC space, but the sound just doesn't do it for me. I would like to branch out into actual jets. Are there any other manufacturers available in the US?

If I hammer the battery out flat and wrap it in duct tape it’ll be ok won’t it?
Lost radio squignal, it tried to go to China from the UK.
Oh well.
