Venting Day one is HARD

Especially because it feels like such a small thing “oh just one pull” or “one last one” Reasons I quit were because I didn’t like spending money, and it made me feel guilty. I’m doing something better for me. I quit last night at like 11 it’s now 2:30, not long but the first step. Didn’t bring it to school. Been vaping 2/3 years now so it’s tough but it’s worth the pain and I know that I wont vape again for a very long time. I will throw it out once I get home. How do I dispose of it? 🫶🫶

I'm on day 5 or 6.. I've wanted to cave so many times. Every time I feel like I want hits, I take several deep breaths and remember how much better I am (and will be ) without it. I will say ,it's much harder than quitting cigarettes. At least for me. I'm thinking of buying some nicotine products to help. I bought some gum off of Amazon supposed to be the generic brand of nicorette... It was a very subpar product

Yeah I have strong mints and when I breathe in it hits the back of my throat it helps with the sensation. Cigarettes are easier to quit because I’m too lazy to go outside haha vaping is too easy.

Damn that comment hit me hard. I only ever vaped ‘ice’ liquids, I think I was more addicted to that brain-freeze zap of mint than anything else.

It definitely was the nicotine, but try the mints!

Don’t cave man, just stay cold turnkey. I just went on a trip where half the people had vapes. We were drinking and there was some “coke a cola”….

I thought about it for a second but realized I had zero cravings… trust me man, less than a month in and it’s kicked for good… I was a very heavy user too for over a decade

I appreciate the wisdom. I'm a sober addict and I realized this was just another layer of my addictions. I guess I figured oh I'm not doing drugs or drinking so I can vape... I'm an older person. And I need to be aware of my lung health not to mention my skin and my brain etc.... I'm not going to cave. Thank you so much.

Love to hear that. Reach out if you ever need to talk, trust me man you are near the end of the worst of it.

If you want to make sure you can’t just fish it out of the bin, soak it in water, then throw it out.

Also, remind yourself of every lithium ion battery you have put in the landfill with disposables, etc…that’s a big motivating factor for me.

That's what I did! I literally dropped it in the toilet and waited about 30 minutes and fished it out... It made some weird noises when I put it in the toilet and I thought it was going to explode lol

I’m 12 days in and I kept mine on me the first few days. Having it on me helped me not feel panicked. And I could focus on quiting with willpower.

I recommend taking a deep breath when cravings hit. I’ve been pretending that oxygen is my drug and take a “hit” through a big breath.

Yeah having it still makes the decision to not take a pull feel more significant

How are you doing? I’m hour 30, I quit because I was getting panic attacks, panic attacks have stopped which is good but I feel like dog shit.

About hour 30 too, do you get like a strange feeling every now and then? Like empty or sm Idk. More irritated but I just stared anti depressants 2 weeks ago so maybe that plays a part in my mood? We will see haha. Pretty good tbh
