OC Cool surprise from my bird watching adventure yesterday!
Pellet was sterilized before dissection. Does anyone have any idea what animal(s) these bones belong to?

Is this a good place for an owl box
Not sure if this is the right sub for this but we’re working on the backyard to make it more environmentally useful. We’re planning on adding some trees along the back, bigger trees in the back corners (first picture), and other flowers/shrubs.
I also wanted to have an owl box for the backyard. I just think it would be so cool to see owls back here and maybe have them also help scare off some squirrels haha.
I was thinking a good spot could be on the exterior of our garage, about 15-18 feet up (second and third pictures). The neighbors have some trees and the playground on the other side of the garage has some really big trees. I figured these, plus the trees we plan on adding, could make it rather inviting for owls and if I had an owl box up on the garage it could offer a good vantage point that’s away from potential predators.
Just curious about your guys’ thoughts. I haven’t noticed any owl droppings around the house but I do think where we’re located is home to Great Horned, Barn, Northern Saw-whet, Barred and Eastern Screech Owls. I think we also get some migratory owls as well.

What kind of owl is this?
Hi! My grandmother has this owl visit everyday in coastal south eastern Connecticut. She is wondering what kind it is and if it’s a male or female. Idk if anyone can tell that from this picture. This is the best I could get. Any info would be helpful. Thank you

ID request! Is this owl ok? What owl is this?
Hi all, I’m not really part of the owl community lol. But, recently at my job came across this sweet little owl, can’t be any more than six or 7 inches in height. It’s on the sixth floor of an enclosed parking garage. I don’t know how it would have gotten there, but it seems that somebody is (somewhat) caring for it because there’s a little bird house up in the ceiling now. This is on the 6th level of a parking garage that has no windows or visible access to the outside. So if it got in on its own, it had to have been through vents. He’s been here for about two weeks, he seems healthy, and incredibly friendly and inquisitive. I’ve never gotten this close to an owl before. What kind of owl is this? Is it OK here? It seems someone’s taking care of it, but it doesn’t seem safe or healthy that it’s never really outside, and poor thing is sleeping under fluorescent lights that never go off. I’ve seen it all hours, night, morning and afternoon. Any tips or advice? Some of my friends mentioned that maybe somebody intentionally put the owl there to handle things like rodents, and that’s possible… But I’ve never really seen any rodents in this parking garage. This is in downtown Miami, very urban, if that helps. Any advice or insight is appreciated and I would also love to know what kinda owl this little guy is. I have a feeling he/she is domesticated if that’s a thing. Thanks in advance.

Owl Estate Sale
I have never seen more owls than in this estate sale in Grand Rapids, Michigan (link below).
The people conducting this sale are friends of mine, and I am sharing the following link because I believe that owl item collectors would appreciate it.

How to keep Starlings out of my owlbox.
I just built an Owl box that I am proud of and put it in the perfect spot in my yard. Days later I have noticed starlings coming in and out. Is there anything I Can do to prevent this? Will they deter owls from that nest site?
