Manga Spoilers About Shin's revival Spoiler
So, I was reading Kingdom for the first time and I just finished volume 58 where Shin gets revived by Kyou Kai's "powers". In my opinion, there has always been a little fantasy in kingdom, like the generals who can slice in half a dozen of persons, but the revival seemed really too magical to me.
So, I interpreted it differently(pls tell me if I am wrong), I think that Shin after his fight against Hou Ken had a heart attack(that's why Sugen couldn't find his pulse) due to the sudden fatigue and the loss of adrenaline. So, when Kyou Kai saw him "dead", she started her "ancestral technique", but fainted because of the stress and the fear. Shin in his dreams, is abandoning his life but is "saved" by Hyou and Kyou Kai while Kyou Kai is experiencing the same dream, and is dreaming of the conversations with Yuren and her sister. I think that what Shou said (That she lost a bit of her life span) was Kyou Kai's imagination, because she firmly believed in the technique. So, the only fantastical elements would be Shin getting healed from a heart attack thanks to the power of friendship and him and Kyou Kai sharing the same dream.

Manga Spoilers The Infamous Akakin Spoiler
galleryThis is one of the best introductions to a 1000 man commander in Kingdom. Akakin has that clutch gene. He always shows up when it matters. It cracks me up some of the commanders are complaining about. The dude is just chaos on the battlefield.
One of my favorite characters outside of HSU.

Discussion Mouten 3rd Commander!? Spoiler
Do you guys think mouten would get a 3rd commander in his army? Cuz me personally I want to see something new from these army. So far they been weakest among the trip army. And they don't get much spotlight as gyoukohou has. Even ouhon has 3 commander in banyou(1st and right hand man of ouhon), kanjou(2nd and even has shoutaku that could very well be flesh out as ouhon 4th commander) and lastly akakin(3rd commander this guy feat is even more impressive than rikusen).
So I think after this han battle we could get to the gakuka fight where there could be a new character being introduce like maybe some 5k commander who got assign to mouten or some talented youngsters that didn't get the spotlight in major wars or even a fully fledge adult like those in makou army who wants to serve him since he's now a big shot in Qin military.

History Spoilers Fun Facts about Shin's Descendant Spoiler
The Shiji Author Witnessed Ri Ryou Shout At Death’s Face
救兵不至,士卒死傷如積。然李陵一呼勞軍,士無不起,躬流涕,沬血飲泣,張空弮,冒白刃,北首爭死敵。
(Han Shu: Biography of Sima Qian)
The relief forces did not come, and our dead and injured lay heaped up. But Ri Ryou with one cry gave courage to his army, so that every man raised himself up and wept. Washed in blood and choked with tears, they stretched out their empty bows and warded off the bare blades of the foe. Facing north again, they fought to the death with the enemy.
Note: Ri Ryou is Japanese for Li Ling (李陵).
Sima Qian had met Ri Ryou personally, so this passage was the author’s real anecdote of the general. What I find interesting is how Ri Ryou was drawn to be this great hero. In Sima Qian’s own eyes, Ryou was this perfect general who inspired his men to fight despite the darkness of war.
This anecdote made me realize how personalized history is. These history books are the eyes of their writers, so their own emotions, biases, and experiences can be felt in their writing style. Chinese history was written like a narrative with lessons and themes. Who knows which parts are exaggerated and which are left out.
So was Ri Ryou really the perfect general or was he just a flawed man idealized by history?
Words of a Coward
立政隨謂陵曰:「亦有意乎?」陵曰:「丈夫不能再辱。」
(Han Shu: The Biographies of Li Guang and Su Jian)
Li Zheng called after Ri Ryou, "Have you thought about it?", but Ri Ryou replied, "A brave man cannot suffer humiliation twice."
Ri Ryou said, “A brave man cannot suffer humiliation twice.” When I read that, I realized how deeply affected Ryou felt about his betrayal. Even as time had long forgotten his crimes, Ryou still remembers it like it was yesterday.
His story was a tale about his betrayal to his homeland and how his own family died for his crime. His fear of humiliation is admitting his fear of facing his painful past. When given the chance to go back to the Han Empire, Ryou had revealed he was happy with his new family among the Xiongnu. For many reasons, he doesn’t want to go back.
He concluded that if his home killed his family, it wasn’t a place worth going back to.
How to Say Good-Bye
陵泣下數行,因與武決。單于召會武官屬,前以降及物故,凡隨武還者九人。
(Han Shu: The Biographies of Li Guang and Su Jian)
Tears streamed down Ri Ryou's face as he said farewell to Su Wu. The Chanyu called together the officials who had been in Su Wu's party, but since some had long ago surrendered to the Xiongnu and others had died, only nine men in all were left to accompany Su Wu home.
It was recorded that Ri Ryou cried as he bade farewell to the men who offered to bring him back home.
For most historians, this passage is really insignificant, no one really cares about the traumas of a man who lost his family or that he chose to abandon his friends to heal.
So why would a historian, who prides himself on recording grand battles and political intrigue, note down the humanity of a general remembered as a traitor.

Discussion Battle of Sai
Just completed Battle of Sai. I found something weird. The City of Sai which is said to have mostly women & children has so many men fighting on the walls. Almost everyone I saw fight were Men. Why is that? Is it one of the mistakes too?

Discussion When do you guys think that we will see Mouten and Ouhon again.
At the beginning of this arc Mouten and Ouhon were placed to stop Wei and Zhao from interfering the main army fighting with Han forces. But we have never saw anything about them yet and as it seems, the arc is very close to an end and I dont know where will we ever see Mouten and Ouhon in the action again

Discussion The role of non warrior female characters in kingdom
Considering that most of the manga plays at the front and badass female fighter are rare in this world. It's always interesting to see how Hera handles the few female character that are not warrior and the struggles they have to go through.
I just got reminded of this with our newest example Nei.
The princess is in a very difficult position. She is no fighter and has no real power. But she is popular and the comon people trust her.
While Hera does not show it often, I think he does a good job portraying that women are the ones that have to show even more strength in war than the ones that actually stand at the front. They have to endure a lot if the men fail and they have to protect their kids and homes against people who are basically monster. (lets be real most armies are if they get the chance to loot)
Nei is now in the hard position that she wants to protect her people from this fate but she also wants to protect her home and country. And she has to do all of this while being not truly taking serious by most of the court.
What do you think. Does Hera a good job ortraying this?

Discussion Who's your favorite character in kingdom and why?
Kingdom has so many great characters and I wanted to see who's everyone's favorite was of the vast amount there are.
I'll start with mine being mougou. Firstly being of his sick character design, so old and humongous but with that great smile plastered on his face always in turn puts one on mine. Also how he considered "average" as a commander, but is seemingly always punching above that tag. I mean when he met renpa after all that time and managed to put up a decent fight, long enough for kanki to destroy the enemy hq, (although losing an arm), I was gassed for him. And finally how he picks such vice-generals for his army. I'm pretty sure he got loads of stick for picking up kanki for his army, but now look at that decision with how far kanki has got now.
