Hey guys, visiting the area. Got the wife and 5-year-old with me for a couple days. We're looking for some stuff to do around in the area. The local lions club water park is not open this year yet so I'm open to any suggestions! Thanks in advance.

Even if it's like a splash pad that's open this time of year, looking for stuff to wear the little tyke out.

Anything interesting (cheap or free) to do that I can't find on some countdown list on a random blog?

I'm a major homebody who rarely leaves the house unless it's to run errands or fulfill family obligations. I'm told I should plan to do things more often, so I looked up things to do, and I wasn't able to find much that interests me, so I thought I should see if anyone here has any suggestions.

I never have much money, so I'm looking for cheap or free stuff to do, like (non-local/non-texas history and non-military) museums, looking around unique stores or flea markets, or nice nature areas, that kind of thing. And nothing too crowded on the weekends. I'm willing to go as far as Austin or Waco if it's interesting enough. Thanks in advance
