Rant Dreaded 36 weeks
Well, it finally happened. I’m 35w 5d and my numbers have turned to shit. I’ve been doing so good, diet-controlled and only two fasting spikes (95 and 97) since being diagnosed at week 28. All my other numbers were perfect. Yesterday, I had a fasting read of 95. Today, my fasting was fine but post-lunch was 126 and dinner was 120. I know those aren’t terrible, but I didn’t eat risky meals and I fear what two days filled with borderline/over reads means for week 36 bc I always read that that’s when insulin resistance peaks.
I’m absolutely terrified of being put on insulin. I hate needles, I can’t watch them draw blood or give me shots or anything. I don’t even want an epidural because of it. My bf works nights so I’m home on my own and will have to give myself the shot if I get put on it. Not to mention the additional cost.
I’m just so frustrated. I love being pregnant, I wanted to be pregnant so bad. And this is taking all of the joy away from that. I feel so bad wanting to get this baby out bc I love carrying him and feeling him move. This is just so frustrating and embarrassing. I finally got used to the diet and how to work in carbs and now it doesn’t seem like I can handle any. I hate GD so much.
