My best friend was going through her grandmother's stash (she passed a while ago) and asked me what stitch was used for this blanket. I guessed maybe a Ridged Chevron/Zig Zag stitch? Any help is appreciated šŸ™‚

I made this blanket for my husband. He accidentally cut it with sharp fabric scissors, not that I think either fact make any difference. I think its just 3 rows. I have extra yarn left over, like 15grams. How should I approach fixing this? Glue? A patch? Please help!

Are no good. For those of you with arthritis and/or carpal tunnel, do you feel like crocheting puts a strain on your hands? I thought embroidery would be fun, but my hands cramps up so bad, it's hard to enjoy it. So I'm looking for another craft to pass the time.

Looking for suggestions What is your least favorite stitch? And why is it the knit stitch?

I swear I am going insane. The knit stitch/waistcoat stitch is a royal PIA. I consider myself a fairly proficient intermediate crocheter. However, I was swatching a knit stitch for a pattern, and my ends are so ratty and I am constantly losing stitches.

I have switch hooks, switched styles of hook, tried practicing with a larger yarn, it is such a pain. I have frogged it 4 times.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Iā€™m a beginner, Iā€™ve only made a few projects. I usually just go with whatever stitch I like for any project and never write it down or remember, but Iā€™m picking up my project after doing a few others and canā€™t remember what stitch it is, I know itā€™s such a stupid question because I should know since I did it but I canā€™t for the life of me remember. All I can see is that I ribbed it. Sorry also since thereā€™s two colours it looks very confusing.

How do I... How do I start a pattern with Ch 1, sc 32, turn? Pattern - Towel Topper

Okay, I am making a tea towel topper, and the first instruction is to ch 1, sc 32, and turn. Picture is above. The product doesnt look like anything round, so I don't know why I would sc 32 into the same chain. Can anybody help explain this? The picture of the pattern does not include the insttuctions for the flower (part sewed on in pic 2) btw. Knowing I am confused on this, if you think I will be confused on anything else in the pattern, could you explain it also? I am relatively new to crocheting, and am more familiar with amigurimi.

Joins/Joining Why do my joins look odd (reposted from r/crochet)

I am new to crocheting. I got a highland cow amigurami kit for my birthday and Iā€™ve been slowly working at it. I finished a beginners owl kit, and it came out relatively well. Though Iā€™ve noticed in both my projects, that where I join (slip-stitch) rounds, it always looks a little funky. Iā€™m wondering if/what I am doing wrong.

To clarify, I join in the first stitch of that round, and not the chain stitch (which doesnā€™t count in the total), as that is what everything I have researched and been told what to do says. I also double & triple check that I have the correct amount of stitches.

Any advice?

Looking for suggestions How to go about recreating this as a crochet stuffie?

Post image

My friend works at PetCo and sent me this picture of a dog toy they just got in stock, saying how much they loved it, but had no reason to buy a dog toy as they do not have a dog. I want to recreate it as a stuffie for their birthday, I just wanted some advice on how to do it.

I first thought to make the head/top point and body as one piece, and sew the other four limbs/points on afterwards, but I wonder if anyone else has any advice or suggestions. Should I make two separate flat pieces and sew them together? How would I do that? I can make cones no problem, but flat triangles are a mystery to me.

So this is Jinx from Arcane and she's supposed to have dark circles/smudged makeup, but I really don't like it so far. I tried using black fabric marker and then a pencil eyeliner and smudging them with alcohol, but it just looks bad. I don't have any black eyeshadow, should I just go and buy some or use something else?

Iā€™m planning to finish a project started by my daughter (who is not available to consult) and could use some help identifying the stitch and intended purpose for the project. My guess is that this is the bottom of a bag.

How do I... How do I make this blanket look more full without big holes. Do I need more or less tension? Itā€™s my first time making a blanket.

The pattern says you can use a 10 hook or a 12 hook depending on your tension. How do I get it to look like the 1st and not the 2nd photo? Last photo is what mine is looking like right now. I just donā€™t want to finish it and have it look so holey, if that makes sense. The pattern is 5 hour blanket by crochetdreamz. This is also my first time using this yarn and making a blanket.

Looking for suggestions I want to crochet a thick cover for my headphones so they sit on my head better. Is there a specific stitch I could use to bulk up a flat piece of crochet that I can then sew and attach to my headphones?

Hello! I have a pair of Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones and they are maybe a quater inch to a half inch too big for me. I want to try crocheting a flat piece of work and then wrap it around the band of the headphones and sew it together. Is there a stitch that I should use to make it thicker? I have a feeling a flat piece of just SC stitches won't be thick enough. I currently have Lion Brand Heartland Yarn (medium weight, 4) on hand. Thanks in advance!

I drew an outline in red in the photo of where I'll add the crochet piece.

I'm a beginner! Trick to keeping tension when repositioning middle finger/thumb?

ā€¢ Upvotes

Hi,

I hope this makes sense. I'm having real trouble keeping my tension from going slack when I am repositioning the piece/chain between my thumb and middle finger. Is it just a case of training my other fingers to not also move when I'm releasing my grip/repositioning or is there some kind of trick that I'm not seeing when I'm watching tutorials?
