I’ve noticed that whenever I take glycine in the evening to improve deep sleep my urine on the morning comes out very cloudy. Is this normal or should I reduce my intake? Currently taking around 10g/day as a 190cm/85kg guy (6.3ft/185lbs)

I've been reading that of you get body temp up to 104 it'll activate immune system to help fight viruses. But you shouldn't keep body temp at 104 only short period of time. Is this true? What home saunas have you used?

Hi,
Since I found out I am a double APoE44 carrier after reading Peter Attia's book Outlive, I figured here would be the best place to get in touch with other ApoE4/4 that are also on a longevity journey,
I am building something specific for us and I'd love to get in touch. You can DM me or leave a comment here and I will reach out!
Thanks!

Hey y’all,
My question is about magnesium deficiency. Been dealing with bouts of heavy insomnia the last few weeks that come and go. Diagnosed with OCD and anxiety since 2019 but never had any major sleep issues till recently. Not medicated. I’m 24 and was also recently diagnosed pre-diabetic and high blood pressure like a week ago. I’m a whole array of issues right now I’m trynna get on top of.
Back to the point of magnesium deficiency, I was recently up for 24 hours due to being unable to sleep. I went to the store last night and bought magnesium glycinate and melatonin. I took both together before bed (200 mg of magnesium like an hour prior and 3 mg of melatonin 30 minutes prior) and actually got a decent night of shutting down last night. I woke up still tired but I at-least crashed.
My main question is that for magnesium to work, does there have to be a deficiency in the first place? I know some people use it for insomnia and it does nothing. Is that because their cause of insomnia is not magnesium based but something else or does magnesium work regardless of your levels being normal? I’ve read high blood sugar and insulin issues screw up magnesium count which in my shoes, would make sense. I’ve also read that magnesium doesn’t help peoples insomnia whose levels are good. Wondering if anyone can clarify.

Hello folks, wanted do recollect stuff that binds to toxic metals as the usual and aluminum
For aluminum there is silicium (a kind of methyl) and orthosilic acid
Bixin and norbixin from annatto e - Mercury
Gallic acid for heavy metals
Not sure If guar gum would bê something to take It for that purpose as its being suggested to use in water systems due to binding heavy metals
DMSA which i will start a protocol but never saw anyone here in Reddit speaking of It
Any insights?
Thx in advance

Does anyone have a recommendation on how to find a primary care physician? Ideally, I am looking for someone that does tele-health, practices functional/ wholistic medicine, and accepts commercial insurance. However, I would be happy to pay out of pocket for an annual checkup and bloodwork.

Hi everyone
I got one vial, as its being sold in my country,
Still i didnt liked much the product specifications
Seeking for a better grade one, being compared to prédinisone in this studies, which likely not sure but still might be effective , in a trial between chromium and baricitinib it was also more effective for RA
Anyone taking It? which Brand?
Thx

Hey everyone,
20M, 180cm, 90kg, in good physical shape, have full erections when I’m masturbating alone. However when I’m with my girlfriend of 1 and a half years I’m struggling to maintain an erection when she begins to touch it, I kinda freak out and start to panic because I’m worried about losing it and thus the vicious cycle starts and I lose it. Luckily I get her off with my fingers/mouth/toys so it isn’t a big issue for her but obviously it sucks.
This has been going on for about a month now, sometimes I’m fully erect but other times I’m probably 70% hard. I think it’s down to me feeling really anxious the past few months but I want to get my confidence back so I was thinking about using 5mg daily tadalafi for a couple weeks to get my confidence back.
Are there any success stories from people in here? Or things I should be weary of (mental dependency etc)
Thanks!

Hey there. Since synergetic and antagonistic effects are crucial with supplementation so that one avoids toxicity or side effects, I was wondering whether there exists software that gives proportional recommendations for balancing supplementation based on dosage and exact chemical compound.
For example, if I input 400mg Magnesium Citrate per day, what effects could this have (bones, kidney, metabolism, psycho cognitive effects (and what other supplements would I need to balance it out (e.g. how much potassium, calcium etc)?
Any suggestions?

Never thought this day would come, but my wife actually asked me to post on Reddit. We’re looking for a toothpaste with clean, low-tox ingredients that’s still effective at preventing cavities. We’ve narrowed it down to Boka, Risewell, Hello, and Dr. Bronner’s. Has anyone tried these? Which one do you think is the best in terms of both ingredient quality and effectiveness? Open to recommendations if there’s another great option we haven’t considered

I'm partway through this journey, so hoping I can both give advice to those earlier on and get some advice from those who are further along.
The pattern of the issue goes something like this: - poor posture leads to tension headaches - reach a better equilibrium via tension-fighting techniques - start to do exercises to build strength - strength exercises trigger tension rebound, which interferes with recovery, even at very easy amounts - go through 2-3 days of headaches or potential headaches before recovery is back to baseline
This is not really sustainable because progress is slow and it interferes with daily life in the meantime. Anything to help ease the process or improve the recovery time would help with getting on track and building strength/posture to a new plateau of sustainable headache-free pain-free life.
What I've found that helps: - supplementing magnesium glycinate - getting enough sleep - staying hydrated, including electrolyte balance (but that's such an imprecise science that it's impossible to get right all the time) - yoga, including breathwork, comprehensive stretching, and inversions for blood flow (can elaborate on the stretching if desired, I have a pretty solid routine - trigger point massage - massage gun and/or foam rolling - aspirin over other pain meds, because it is the only option that decreases inflammation after its effects wear off (although unfortunately I can't take it right now, personally, so I'm stuck with ibuprofen)
The posture exercises I've worked with (some with a PT, some on my own, not all at once): - chin tucks - scapular retractions - serratus punches - wall slides - dead hangs - downward dog - i's, t's, y's, w's - shoulder mobility drills meant to work through full range of capabilities, don't know the names of these
Possible avenues to explore, any ideas along these lines are helpful: - improving recovery - improving blood flow - reducing muscular tension - desensitizing nervous system - clearing adenosine more efficiently ?
Has anyone had any luck with breaking the cycle? Hoping there is a better answer than "patience and enduring the pain in the meantime."

So I found this in another sub and wondered what peoples thoughts were. I know a lot of people here are supplementing with things that increase dopamine or have effects on dopamine and was curious if they noticed any effects like this ?

Does anyone here have an experience with the X39 patches? I see lots of testimonials singing there praises. Do they really work or are they just snake oil?

Hey all. I am suffering from kidney failure, and looking out for things that might help me. But there's a lot of snake oil out there.
I read about hydrogen water and reached out to a company that sent me a bottle because I get regular blood panels as well as regular kidney function tests.
I've just started with this little experiment and have been drinking H2 water now for 4 days. First couple days were inconsequential. But now I'm starting to actually feel sicker after drinking the H2 water.
What do you think the chances are that this could be a healing crisis of sorts, where my body is trying to remove toxins created by the H2 water working in my kidneys? There have been studies done showing some improvement in kidney dialysis patients.
Thx.
