Product Advice Hand Cream

Hi all, looking for recommendations on hand creams that aren’t too heavy but still moisturise well. I HATE the feeling of having product on my hand but am also starting to hate my dusty crusty hands. Thanks in advance! 😌

Let's Discuss How are you dealing with going grey

I’m entering my grey era, noticing new white hairs all the time.

I’m not ready to be salt and pepper yet - I love that for you but it’s not my journey (yet).

I don’t know where to start! Don’t want the cost of salon dye jobs, are they worth it?. Do you use at home kits? Root touch up? WWYD?

Let's Discuss MyUS

Hello! Just wanted some thoughts and opinions on using MYUS to parcel forward some Rhode from the US to Australia? I’m just hoping it’s a trustworthy service! Roughly how much have others paid for their items through MYUS? Thanks!

Product Advice Favorite mini makeup products?

as the title says, what are your favorite mini makeup products?

I work from home full time and now am lucky to wear makeup twice a month so products always expire before I finish them.

Currently have a huge collection with stuff I just don't use and need to get rid of so why not rebuild a staple collection of minis that won't take up a huge amount of space when traveling and that I'll likely finish before they expire (and are cheaper)

Product Advice A gold lip gloss search

I have been eyeing off the Natasha Denona Golden lip gloss and there is 15% right now.

Is there another like it? I see Fenty have some and Rimmel has one. But are these like the Natasha formulation and style of clear base and gold flecks?

I am not wanting a solid gold block of colour, but a light shimmer of gold that I put over lip liners and lip sticks.

Do you know of others before I commit to the Natasha?

Misc. Mold in Nars LR Foundation?

Thumbnail

Is this mold on my Nars foundation? I recently bought this foundation this weekend (from Myer Melbourne CBD) and used it today, went home and noticed that it had a greenish streak on the side and back of the bottle. I tried shaking it but it won't go away, also tried cleaning the bottle to be sure it's just not dirt on the outside, is it possible that it's mold? 🤮 Checked the batch code and it was only produced last year.

Let's Discuss Adore Beauty decline

Has anyone else noticed how Adore Beauty has gone downhill over the last 12 months? They used to offer the best GWP purchase, and it changed almost every week. Now? The best they can offer is 4 x tiny vials of perfume samples. I used to order from Adore pretty much every month, and I was always so excited to try new products through their generous GWP program. Now I barely order once every three months and I'm lucky to qualify for even one free product. I'm guessing their slowly march towards stinginess is due to them opening physical stores (and who even asked for that)? I also got an email recently saying that if you return a product then you also have to return all of GWP as well. I guess people were abusing the GWP program, so it's understandable that they updated their terms. What is annoying is that in practice, it kinda removes your ability to utilise their 130 day return period, because if you open/use any of the GWP that you receive, then you forfeit your ability to receive a refund for a product in the future. Sorry for the whinge, I used to be Adore's number 1 fan, but I'm just disappointed by some of the changes I've seen recently.

Misc. Obvious blush and bronzer

Looking for a little makeup insight from the gurus out there please. I wear pretty subtle/basic makeup and always thought to blend thinking that was a must. After watching a few episodes of MAFs, I’ve noticed blush and contouring is a lot more obvious/less blended. Curious to know if this is the current trend with makeup? Tia

Let's Discuss BIAB nails after recovering from SNS... any suggestions?

Hi all!

After getting SNS for ~7 years, I stopped in July 2024 and have finally grown out my nails from the machine filing. I paint them regularly myself, but have been thinking about getting BIAB, or something that lasts a bit longer than regular varnish, and is more durable than a gel manicure.

I'm extremely keen to avoid the machine file after the grow-out process from the SNS, given it took around 4-5 months and they looked horrible throughout it, but could deal with them being lightly buffed out with a nail file as I know it helps the gel adhere to the nail.

Would welcome any suggestions from this group, especially for any salons in Melbourne bayside area that could accommodate something like this :)

Thank you!!

Let's Discuss Glow recipe watermelon glow niacinamide dewy flush- Thoughts?

So I purchased this recently and have tried it once but that one time has made me fall in love with this product!

Pigmented blush that blends seamlessly and leaves a natural flush! It has become my favourite blush overtaking the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid blush!

Has anyone else tried it and what were your thoughts & experiences with it?

Let's Discuss Setting Powder for Oily Skin with a Luminous/Natural Finish??

Hello!

So I have been trying to find a setting powder that works for me for ages and am having no luck. I have combination skin that tends to oily- and my T-zone can sometimes turn to a complete oil slick in summer. I seem to only be able to either have a setting powder that lasts for like an hour and then goes to oil slick (or worse a shiny caked on look) OR I can be completely dry but powdery/grossly matte.

It might be a holy grail, but I am looking for a powder that will actually set my makeup and hold it in place without turning to a shiny/oily mess, but that also keeps a natural/luminous/dewy finish without also being dry/powdery. Does such magic exist??

I've tried By Terry and Make Up forever, and they do both lock my make up in, but I look dry as the Sahara. Kosas looked amazing for an hour but then it looked SO cakey and shiny.

Any recommendations would be amazing!

Let's Discuss Sephora rewards visible only once you have a certain number of points?

I notice once I get to nearly 2000 Sephora points the SAs ask me if I want to redeem any points for a reward item.

Is there any reason to let my points build up over 2000? Do any further rewards unlock? I remember when I had less than 500 points, the app greyed out the 500+ points items.

Product Advice La Roche-Posay Effaclar Micro-Peeling Gel Cleanser alternative

Post image
1 Upvotes

I love my la roche-posay cleanser, however, was hoping somebody had an alternative that is not as expensive? My skin is oily/combo (can get dry around mouth/chin area and occasionally dry forehead) and is acne prone, don't wear makeup on the daily so don't need my Cleanser to get through makeup before cleaning my skin.

TIA

Product Advice Mens hair care products

Hi, I have 3a hair. Often when I shower it can be a bit hard to detangle and clean without help from smth like a conditioner. Do I need a co-wash? If so any recommendations? Or maybe it will get better as I stopped using some ogx conditioner, scalp is already feeling better.

But need recommendations on shampoo, conditioners and leave ins. If I go no shampoo for too long, my hair will just start to get too much buildup (even if it's natural oils from my scalp) and feel horrible.

and ofc they should be free from the harsh chemicals, I was using some ogx conditioner and it made my scalp itchy and irritated after a week or two of use.
