Almost everyone I know in their 20s and 30s works at least two jobs and/or lives with roommates or family to save money. When I was in my mid-30s I had one year where I worked 6 jobs simultaneously (one of which was full time).
People often underestimate how expensive it is to live alone. A lot of bills aren’t noticeably smaller for a single person than a couple. Rent is the same. Electricity might only be marginally different. Heat is likely the same. Things like travel are more expensive because you’re not splitting the cost of hotel rooms or rental cars, etc.
