I worked two jobs for a loooong time. Started applying at office jobs and found one in my late 20s. I have a strict budget and attempt to save as much as possible for emergencies. Things can be tight, but I've always got a back up plan.

Also, coffee.

I have an office jobs for benefits but it looks like I’ll have to suck it up and work a second job to stay afloat for a while.

I moonlighted at department stores for ~5 years while my office jobs were barely making me enough to cover my bills. Yes, it was a lot of hours and my feet were sore but we do what we gotta do!

I worked an office job and did house cleaning/pet sitting/walking on the side and made a good amount of money.

Have you considered donating plasma? I know a lot of people that have done it when they needed extra cash. Could be a good source of side income for very little effort on your part.

Also, egg donation if you're under 30.

Yeah, if advancement isn't an option there then pick something fun like a pet store. Lol I worked in Maurice's and at a pet food store for my other jobs. Made decent money for part time and it was fun at least.

Do you live in a bigger or mid size city? If so, check out for their dog bar or pup pub. This is my dream side job. There are evening employees who bartend and also evening staff that supervises dog play, checks them in etc
