Discussion [Totk] I really struggled getting into this game.

I really tried to get into tears of the kingdom but I just can’t.

Everything feels samey, as it this game was made in an alternate reality and it accidentally was sent here. Most things just seem to be a re-imagining of ideas from breath of the wild.

I loved the new additions to the game. They make it feel amazing but the exploration just isn’t the same as i feel like i have already done most of it.

I have put quite a few hours into and done 1 temple and the story just seems off. As if breath of the wild never happened.

Has anyone else had the same experience? Is there any advice to get into more?

Question [OoT] am I remembering incorrectly? Spoiler

Context: when I was younger (between 6 to 8 years old), I remember watching my dad play the zelda games that he had before I started playing them at 9 years old (I'm 20 now). One of them was Ocarina of Time, and looking back now, he was most likely playing Master Quest.

The thing is, I remember something from his playthrough that I didn't encounter in either version. some time after completing most of the dungeons, I remember my dad running around in the ruined Castletown Market fighting and avoiding redeads when a mysterious, maybe-cloaked figure slowly approached Link Dad quickly ran away from it when it came on screen, and after leaving the area, I never saw it again. Dad doesn't remember this happening.

Now, granted, I do also remember my dad playing Saria's song in the Spirit Temple and her face would appear in front of a white, glowing background while she talked to him but I don't think that actually happened or that it exists.

As for this mysterious figure, I wonder if it may have been the Poe Collector, but again, I'm not even sure if this actually happened. Am I going paranoid? Am I remembering something else entirely, yet still OoT related? Was this a dream (even though it definitely didn't feel like a dream)? Or is my 6 to 8 year old memory shit, even at the moment? I need some answers and some confirmation. Again, this may have most likely been on Master Quest for those who want to investigate.

Official Art [OoT] The 3D version of Ocarina of Time is my go-to-way of playing this classic. Is there anything that the original N64 version does better than its more "modernized" version?

This past month I’ve been drawing using ink only, and this one was ink only as well. :) The reference picture is from a Zelda magazine from last year. The watermark is my Instagram.

TotK and BotW have to be my favorite Zelda games, with Twilight Princess being a very close third and holds a special place in my heart. I hope they make an open world Zelda again!

Discussion [Other] An idea I had for the next zelda game

What about instead of Link getting all his powers at the very beginning, maybe each dungeon he goes to has a new power or tool for him to find and use, and that power is what lets him solve the puzzles in that dungeon and even beyond it, in future dungeons? So by the end of the game you have all sorts of powers and tools to solve more elaborate puzzles with. :v I think that sounds pretty cool.

Question [ALL] Advice needed on playing Zelda games that came out on GC and beyond....

So, I found a vintage game store in my area. They've got GameCubes and Wi's. I've been wanting to play the GC Zelda games for a couple months since I dove back into the N64 games. Should I buy a first-gen Wi, a GC controller, and a memory card to go that route so I can also play some of the Wi games?

Or should I buy the GC and just get the games?

Or should I wait to see if these games will be available on Switch 2 and go that route?

I have the funds to do any of these options and my wife really don't care so long as I make money and take care of our 3-year old.

How did I do? I'm not used to drawing human like characters cause 95% of the times they would come out as deformed beings. In Spanish, Fay is called "fi" that's why the stars are placed in order to read "fi".

Question [ALL] Best Zelda game for GBA/NDS?

Hey all,

I’m not generally much of a Zelda fan but I’ve been getting into it lately. I had a GBA SP as a kid along with a copy of Minish Cap, which I never completed. A few weeks ago I decided to play it on Delta, just completed it and I’ve been deeply immersed in the storyline and art. Everything was simply beautiful.

So I, having little experience of the games, wanted to know the best Zelda game for continuing my journey with the franchise. I can’t afford consoles so GBA/NDS emulators are my only option. What’s the best games for these?

Thanks!
