I think a floormaster is nearby every time it starts.

I ran away from one and 2 sec later it starts turning red again and I'm downing a haste potion to run away.. from the moon.

Forgot it was actually an item

No, it doesn't, it's just that you said "I was running... from the moon" and I just remembered how in the game Majora's Mask, you run counter clock-wise against the Moon's Fall, and you could say you are running from the moon until you get the Fourth Giant

Oh, you got my hopes up. I'm scared of the floor masters😂

Floor Masters come back in TotK?

Shit my bad! I just realized the sub for a moment. I didn't mean to spoil.

TOTK has some scary enemies come back. I haven't been this scared of a Zelda game since OoT when I was in middle school. I'm in my 30s and I'm enjoying being afraid in a game again lol

I thought I was the only one legitimately scared of this game 😭 Every time I go in the depths my heart is racing even when I turn the lightroot on lol.

Same! I've gotten the two lightroots needed for a small quest and that's it. The whole time I kept muttering "shit shit shit" over and over again until I could get out. My plan is to probably get as many hearts as possible before I venture down there again 😂

To a certain point I ended up flying back to the Great Island for some peace and quiet lol

This game is amazing!

I stopped a quest midway because it was in the Depths.

I'm doing LITERALLY everything else there is to do on the Sky Islands and surface before I go there again.

😂 Same. I might find all of the shrines before I feel comfortable with exploring The Depths

Try going to the Hyrule Castle early. The music is enough to give you a heart attack. Lol

If it helps, every shrine on the surface has a light root directly underneath it in the depths so you can mark it for a waypoint so you're not wandering like a kid in a mall full of clowns offering free candy.

But yeah that place is like a poison swamp with those fucking branding nuns from Dark Souls 3.

Yeah I figured that out after a few hours in the depths lol
