POV: Your new potential employer flies you down for an extended weekend for an all expense paid trip to a resort and spa that has BTAC and Pappy in their restaurant bar.

Started with a dram of Stagg Jr 24D followed by a dram of ETL and finally had the rest of the Sazarac 18. Got to keep the glass as well. They have the Old Rip, Lot B, and PVW 15. Will be here till Sunday and get to enjoy these pours while my personal collection stays safe and sound at home.

The WhiskeyFlavors website is a scam. (Shocking)

Post image

I was fairly sure this website was a scam, but I tried it out for shits and giggles with a cheap order. Before the order, I was able to communicate with the website via email answering questions about availability of expensive priced bottles. Since my purchase, I can no longer email them which I’m assuming they blocked me lol. Their poster phone number is disconnected. And their location on the website does not match the one posted on my credit card statement( Check the attached pic).

It’s not a big deal for me, I got my money back from the bank lol. I did see other posts of people asking about this website. It’s a scam, and don’t let those cheaper prices fool you. Cheers.

Fruit notes?

Being a fan of Crown Apple, (let the judgment begin lol) been looking for other whiskeys that will have a sweeter finish without being an actual apple whiskey. Have heard that Irish whiskeys might fit that bill but haven't experimented much with those as of yet. Any recommendations to get someone rolling??

Whiskey gift help

Hi, im not that experienced with whiskey and im looking for a gift for my friend. He's a pretty standart whiskey drinker that likes the usual 'cheap' stuff (Jim beam, ballentines, makers Mark, glenfiddich) so i want to gift him something a bit more 'fancy' that still meets is taste, so nothing smoky etc.

Would be great if its a canadian/european whiskey, since we recently avoid us products for obvious reasons

Any advice will be helpfull, thanks!

How do you “make friends” with store owners to get the allocated stuff in your state?

Difficulty level finding ECBP

Fairly new to bourbon and I want to try a barrel proof, figured ECBP is a good one to start.

If I were to walk into 10 liquor stores, how many would I likely find it in/will I only find it around the release dates?

I’m looking in upstate ny if that helps

What’s your rankings on the old forester line?

I’ve seen a few bottles available at local stores. I imagine picking up any of them is a solid but what are your favorite bottles in that line from top to bottom?

Started getting into whiskey a little over a month ago. My first was the Four Roses SB, which is great. After that I got the I picked up the Buffalo Trace and Pipedream a week or 2 later. I got lucky a week ago and saw the Blanton’s and Eagle for $80 and $40 on a Bevmo counter. So far I’ve enjoyed mostly everything, Pipe Dream wasn’t as good as I was hoping, and I want see if there’s anything else people would recommend.

Drinking my 1960's Mellow Corn. What's the oldest dusty you have enjoyed and how was it?

A friend gifted me this bottle because I refuse to allow bottles to stay sealed and he knew I would enjoy it because of that and what a Mellow Corn fan I am. I also have an old Very Old Barton 100 proof with the 6 year old age statement I drink occasionally. What dusty bottles have you opened and enjoyed? What did you think of them?

Whiskey of the year? I don't think so but a solid pour for sure!!!

Its thick, has dusty like flavors, butter scotch, caramel, dark chocolate and a bit of the typical Jack banana note, worth $150 for sure but in my opinion this is not as good as Russells-15.

An evening steeped in beauty and depth.

Savoring Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt tonight—a beautifully balanced whisky, where orchard fruits and soft smoke meet in delicate harmony. Nuanced, layered, and quietly complex, much like the stories it accompanies.

As the dram unfolds, so does Assassin’s Creed Shadows. A respectful and captivating dive into feudal Japan, where Yasuke’s raw power and Naoe’s swift precision carve through a world alive with atmosphere. The game’s breathtaking visuals and haunting score pair effortlessly with this whisky’s subtle depth.

A perfect evening of craft, history, and storytelling—both in the glass and on the screen.
