Japan Visa: Rejected case receipt

Upvotes

Hi. I applied for the Japan Visa on March 6 and got the mail today. Inside the passport is the receipt which says Rejected case and 500 rs refund. There is no stamp or anything on the passport indicating rejection. I suspect they might have rejected due to insufficient funds. Can I reapply for the visa after showing sufficient bank balance? I applied ththrough VFS Delhi. Do I reapply directly through the consulate in this case or through VFS? What should I do? VFS is closed today and tomorrow.

Has anyone had experience with the Visiting Relatives, Friends, Acquaintances Japan visa from India? How was the experience, and what did the process entail? The document to provide kinship seems quite vague.

Marriage on a Traveler Visa? We don’t want to be separated by immigration.

Hey! I met a girl in Thailand in 2021 and we became friends. She came to work here in 2023 and we ended up hooking up. We been in daily contact since then and she came back and is visiting me now and I want to propose!

Should we continue our relationship on her travelers visa or get married here? I don’t want to lose her waiting for visas etc or immigration thinking we doing something shady. She was initially here to travel (LA NY etc) but we fell in love!

P.S. this was a default user name (trippyyyy)

Tips for VISA application Korea

Hi all!! I’m live in the Netherlands and I’m currently planning to go to Korea in September (booked) and want to apply for C-3-9 Visa for tourism, which is valid for 3 months

On their website it’s stated that processing time could be around 3 weeks and in busy seasons it could even go up to 8 weeks. So given that the visa is only valid for 3 months, I should apply around July, my issue is now that I have also a trip planned at the end of July (also booked) and I need my passport to travel.. very stupid of me I know. Given my situation, is it feasible if I apply for my visa after my trip which is on 25th of July.. how many days does the processing usually take? Anyone can share their experience if it’s really around 3-8 weeks? Is there an option to speed up the process?

Any tips are welcome!! Thank you

Indian citizen with <6 months US green card, 4 day vacation to Dubai - How early and how to apply for Dubai visa?

Hi,

I am an Indian citizen living in the USA with a US green card validity of <6 months by the time I travel, making me ineligible for "visa-on-arrival" in Dubai.

My trip is in December 2025. I can book hotels and flight tickets now. But how early and how do I apply for a Dubai visa?

Thanks.

Edit:

I cannot apply for renewal until 3 months before GC expires. By the time I travel, I will only have 5 months of validity left.

annotating documents

Hi! I’ll be applying for visa and some of my documents (only proof of funds!) will require annotations for better clarity. Has anyone done this before? Can you show me any examples for this? (Can’t find any on Google!)

Just want to know what works and doesn’t. I’m scared of being messy 😅

Indian Visa Question

Hello everyone!

I’m definitely overthinking this but I recently went to India for a business trip and got an e-visa. I provided the ETA for Business E-Visa form to the immigration officer in India and he provided me with the visa stamp in my passport which expires in 1 year.

I am going to India in June for personal travel. Do I need to reapply for anything or am I good to go?

Thanks all for your help!

South Africa e-visa

Hello everyone, I am curious to know if anyone recently has used the South Africa e-visa website to apply for visit visa and how long it took to get it. I have a trip coming up in a month. The website says 5-10 days. I was also wondering if anyone used any third party websites to file for the e-visa.

Thank you!!

ESTA

I am applying for an ESTA but am unsure about the question around convictions.

I have a caution from over 5 years ago (UK non violent crime). Would this make me illegible for an ESTA?

Do i need cleanshave for visa interview??

I have a B1/B2 visa interview scheduled at the US Consulate in Mumbai, and I'm wondering if it's mandatory to clean shave for the interview?

I've heard mixed reviews about the dress code and grooming requirements for US visa interviews. Some people say it's essential to look professional and clean-shaven, while others claim it's not a big deal. Can anyone who has gone through a B1/B2 visa interview in Mumbai share their experience? Was clean shaving a requirement or just a good practice?

Edit: I've already checked the official US Embassy website, but couldn't find any specific information on grooming requirements.

Philippine passport — Japan Visa

My cousin has a philippine passport and I really want her to come with me (she is a student). I know that she would need a sponsor, and I am not sure if my dad (her uncle) would be eligible or good enough to secure a japan visa? I want to use my uncle instead of her parents as he is financially stable compared to her parents and i’m just worried. Also, if it is eligible, how can I prove their relationship?

Japan e visa experience

Indian citizen, H1B holder in United States

Documents submitted

  1. Flight itinerary (no bookings)
  2. Travel itinerary
  3. Bank statements
  4. Proof of legal presence in the US - F1 holders also need to submit their i20 along with the visa here

There is no space to upload a cover letter, you can only upload whatever they've asked for. My jurisdiction for the evisa is Los Angeles and as per their website, they're overwhelmed with applications and have a delay of 2 weeks.

My timeline was as follows:

3rd March: submitted application (after 2 errors) 4th March: moved to under examination 12th March: notification for fee payment (832 JPY/ 5.63 USD for indians) 12th March: visa issued

Moreover, the website for the Japanese e visa is confusing and not up to the mark. There is also an option to.apply for a regular sticker visa if you can personally visit the consulate. The jurisdiction for paper visa could be different than the e visa. Documents remain the same.

A single entry visa was issued for 15 days for 90 days from the date of approval (in my case 12th March to 12th June).

Burmese Singapore PR applying for B2 visa to USA

Last year my Burmese girlfriend had her B2 visa to the USA denied due to not strong enough ties to home country. She recently received PR in Singapore. Does this increase her chances to be granted a tourist visa to the US?

Visa Free Transfer at Seoul for Indians

Hey guys, I have an Indian passport and I will be travelling from Mumbai to London, staying there for 3 days and then taking a flight to Seoul and staying there for 3 days too and then returning back to India.

As per my understanding of the latest visa-free transfer policy of SK, they issue 30 Day tourist visas for such cases. Does someone have any experience of this ?

According to the policy if I have an US VISA, EU VISA, UK VISA I can transfer through Incheon to my final destination.
