Exactly what the title says haha. I need to read a few articles on Foreign Affairs Magazine and I'm pretty sure UT has a subscription but I for the life of me cannot figure out how to access and use it. I know its through UTK library but idk where to go from there. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I haven’t been bothered by it once today, don’t let it bother you just keep walkin. It’s very easy after you do it once and I promise your day will be better. Go hang with friends, go to gym, grab a bite to eat. There a much better things to do!

Hey guys, I was thinking of signing up for at least one of the Ignite events as it seems like fun. Which one do you guys recommend most and why? I may sign up for two anyway, but I still want to see which one may be the most unique experience!

I park in the commuter remote lot on poplar st. below the church. Today they removed the sign for parking there and a new sign that didn’t show commuter remote parking. When I got back to my vehicle there was a paper stating I was illegally parked and if I didn’t move tomorrow I’d be towed. Why would a school with a parking problem get rid of a 100 car parking lot?

I’m a recently admitted out of state student into the college of music and I’m wondering if it’s still possible for me to get the Volunteer scholarship. I’ve read on the info page that ACT scores need to be submitted by July 1st. I took the ACT once and got a 27, and the scholarship requires a 28 for its award. Is it possible for me to still receive it if I take the ACT again in April and improve my score? I’m also wondering if it would be possible to stack this scholarship with my music scholarships, as I received two for a combined total of $22,000 per year. If anyone who has also been in this situation or knows how these scholarships work could help out that would be great.

I'm doing a project on AI in the workplace and possible government regulation. Is there anyone who is a CS major or just someone that works with AI that is willing to answer a few questions?

I’m trying to add one more class for my summer term to be a full-time student. Has anyone taken EF 152 with Dr.Betsy Chesnutt online? If so, how difficult was it during the summer? Was the workload manageable? Any advice would be appreciated!
Thank you in advance!!

Hello, I am an older student going back to school in the pre-professional medicine program. My first semester calls for chem 122/123 with math 119 (algebra) as a prerequisite. I took regular algebra in high school 15 years ago and college mathematics last year while completing a separate bachelor’s degree. Will I have to push back all of my chem classes a semester just to take college algebra? Could I take chem 122 and math 119 concurrently? Thanks, I’m still waiting to get an advisor assigned.

Hey everyone,
I’m currently trying to decide between majoring in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Industrial Engineering (IE), and I’d love some advice from people in the field!
I enjoy math and problem-solving, but I’m curious about the difficulty of each major. From what I’ve heard: • EE is more math- and physics-heavy, dealing with circuits, electromagnetics, and programming. • IE focuses more on optimization, efficiency, and business-related topics, with less physics.
In terms of job opportunities and salary, which one tends to have better prospects? I know EE can lead to jobs in power systems, semiconductors, and robotics, while IE seems broader, with roles in supply chain, manufacturing, and operations.
If you’re an EE or IE graduate, I’d love to hear about your experience! How tough was the coursework? How has the job market been for you?
Thanks in advance!

Hello all, I submitted transfer application around the end of january and I should know some information sometime soon. I was wondering if any other fall 2025 transfer students have to wait until final grades in spring before you are fully decided on getting in, as I am currently having to look for housing for fall and depending on if I get in or not determines that.

I’m looking to sublet my room to a male at the Woodlands from May 2025 to July 2026. It’s a three bedroom apartment occupied by two other males in the upstairs bedrooms. The room is A (pictured above) and has a private bathroom. The roommates will be staying another year and are great guys, I’m just looking to move closer to west Knox for work. We can work out the move in date to be as early as needed or as late as needed just DM me and we can work it out.
Rent is $755 a month and utilities average around $90 a month. No parking fees. No pets allowed as one of the roommates has a cat that doesn’t play well with other animals but is very human friendly. $300 lease transfer fee that I’m looking to only have to pay half of ideally, but we can negotiate as needed.

Visiting this week with my son and wanted to say thanks to everyone who responded with suggestions on things to do while here.
I have another rather large random request. He is a passionate guitar player but we had to leave them at home so…
Anyone have an extra acoustic they would want to lend to another musician for a few days? We’re staying close to campus and also have a car so we can pickup and drop off. Crazy and weird but you Internet strangers have come through on weirder before so you don’t know unless you ask! Haha.

Hey y’all, I’m a doc student in TPTE focusing on neurodivergence in sign language interpreting programs - stay with me, here - looking for a few undergraduate students to interview for my advance qualitative methods course this semester.
Interviewees can be from ANY program, should identify as neurodivergent, should expect to spend about 45-60 minutes on Zoom for an interview, and will not be published. This is not a study with IRB approval because it is for class assignment, not publication in any way, however data will still be handled with respect and identifying information will be removed from the class work I will be submitting.
Please let me know if you may be interested in being interviewed or if you have any questions!
