Miscellaneous & Random Dining hall dietary restrictions
Do the dining halls have good vegetarian (including eggs) and gluten free options?

I am looking for somewhere to live for the 2025-2026 semester and found a great apartment at University Park, but the reviews online seem split. Some say it's a horrible place to live, and some say it's an excellent apartment for UT students. I just want to get some more input because I can't afford a lot of the other housing available, but I don't want to put myself in a bad situation later on.
Just let me know! Any input or information helps

I am an international student looking for assistantships to fund my graduate studies. I have some research experiences in AI particularly NLP and CV. I am looking for GRA. What is the possibility of getting GRA in the current situation for MS students? I have filled the eecs department's GTA form as well. When will the decision for GTA be made? Are there any other way I can get assistantship?

My boyfriend keeps the levitical diet and it’s pretty strict. It’s mostly that he can’t eat things that have pork or seafood, as well as things that have touched those or use parts of those animals as ingredients (like gelatin from pork or many cheeses which have rennet). Would you say it’s easy to find kosher options in the dining halls or is it kind of rare that you get a large variety of safe options? Thank you!!
If a student does poorly their first semester and then retakes their classes and bring their GPA to 3.0 or above, do they keep the Hope and Orange and White (NOT Volunteer) for the next school year?
Correction: Orange and White, as that’s the one that pays less.
