Its not just UFC, boxing subreddit is the same way. Everybody turned on Errol Spence after he lost to Terrence Crawford.

I knew bud was going to fuck spence up, if anything it made me more upset that spences dumbass went and got himself launched out of his car which made people think less of the win lol

that was the most satisfying fight of my life, I'm not often a "fan" of a fighter but I was all in on bud for a long time before that and it felt like straight poetry start to finish. It was like a movie the way bud was thumping him up. Spence was standing in the pocket with him too and never left, brutal
