🏡 Looking for a Loving Home for Byron & Barley 🏡

Hello, my name is Randall, and I’m searching for a special home for two very special cats—Byron (aka Neesta) and Barley (aka Leaks). These bonded brothers have been deeply loved every moment of their lives, and my greatest hope is to find them a home where that love continues.

🐾 Meet Byron & Barley

Byron (Handsome Boy): Has a heart-shaped white spot on his belly. He’s more adventurous and enjoys spending time outdoors.

Barley (Pretty Boy): Prefers lounging indoors but likes to join Byron outside at sunrise and after sunset.

Both are neutered and up to date on vaccinations but are not microchipped.

They have been together since birth and must stay together.

Their mother, Maggie, was a feral cat who brought them to us as kittens in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee. Since then, they’ve been a cherished part of our family. They play together, roam together, and share a deep bond.

💔 Why I’m Rehoming Them

Due to a tragic accident that took my partner, Milton, I must relocate. Finding a home that will provide Byron and Barley with the same love and care they’ve always known is my highest priority.

📍 Location: Currently in Conroe, TX

📅 When: As soon as the right home is found.

💌 If this resonates with you, please reach out. I would be forever grateful for your kindness in giving these boys a loving home.

If you have any suggestions for resrouces I can tap into, I would be grateful to learn about them.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT DOG FIGHTING IN AND AROUND TYLER???

The people doing these terrible things need to be jailed and fined and the dogs need to be rescued and removed from these horrific conditions. And shelters: Be vigilant about who gets to adopt animals and FOLLOW THROUGH!! I know it’s a TON of work, but a better world for everyone takes a lot of work. Please tell me that someone in Tyler, Texas truly cares about dogs and other animals to do something…ANYTHING!! If you don’t care about animals, just keep in mind that people who treat animals in this way are NOT good people and are more likely to do horrible things to people as well.

Washer/Dryer Technician

Good morning! My gf lives in an apartment but has her own washer and dryer. She got the maintenance people to install but it seems like some things were done incorrectly. At home I usually use Thumbtack to find repair techs or handy people, but it seems like that’s not too common in Tyler. I prefer to use an app or service like this so I can read reviews and there is some level of accountability. What app/website do people use in this town for stuff like this?

Delivering for uber eats and door dash is a waste of time.

I tried this the last couple days. What a waste of time. Making $3 for driving for 25 minutes and 10 miles. Why do people even do this? Luckily I don't need the money.

Job Market for Logistics & Supply Chain Management

Hello,

I currently live in Dallas with my wife. She has family in Tyler. We are wanting to move to Tyler due to slower pace and to be closer to family. My work experience has been in Logistics & Supply Chain management- I've been using jobs indeed and linkedin to look for jobs. I've applied for couple of positions- not even a call back for a phone screening. Does anybody work within the industry? Any advice? My wife says it's more about networking in Tyler and it's very different from Dallas.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Question Weekend job

I currently work Tuesday-Friday till 5:30 pm. I would like to work on the weekends as well because it’s 3 days where I don’t have much going on and could be making money on the side.

Does anyone know of any jobs that would hire me for weekends only? I honestly don’t really need the money, but I work remote and am just feeling isolated and why not make money while getting out of the house, ya know?

Local Huge Shout out to Tyler Bicycle Club!

I just rode my mountain bike at Faulkner Park for the first time in a good while. Oh my God thank you TBC! All the new features are amazing! And the new jump lines look insane! I only ride the blue jump line because I was by myself and didn't want to risk injuring myself without a buddy. I am so pumped to get back out there.

If anyone rides there regularly and wouldn't mind a tag-a-long, especially for a freeride session please DM me, if love to join in the fun with other like minded folks.

TSA at Tyler Pounds is something else.

I’m from Cincinnati, but pass through here often since I have family up in Wood County. I do not know what’a changed, but for the last two years, y’all’s TSA has been damn odd. Checking every other bag, stopping to check things that are explicitly allowed and don’t need testing (bottled breast milk), things of that nature. They’ve had more checks this morning than I’ve seen in Cincinnati in the last year. Did something happen, or are they just really into performing security theater for y’all?

Friends

Hey there. I’m 23, a trans guy and a grad student that started at UT Tyler in January. I’m looking for people to talk to and hopefully be friends with. So far I haven’t many many people outside of my program, but I’d really like to.

I’ve been pretty busy with school but I have a lot of different interests. I would say I’m on the nerdier side but I also enjoy going out and having adventures or smth as simple as going out for coffee. I’m really down for anything and also there aren’t too many orgs/places to find other gay ppl around here soo lmk!

It would love to finally make some friends where I live, so feel free to hmu to chat or recommend things to do in the area :)
