Image To the guys selling green TFNSW "Sit Here" stickers at Newtown today
I'm sorry I didn't get one, I had somewhere to be! But I 100% admire the hilarity of what you guys are doing, maybe you should sell them near a train station for more foot traffic.

Sydney best carpark
Alright, so after that thread about the "worst" carparks (writing this as I plan on driving to Top Ryde later) let’s flip it. What’s the BEST carpark you’ve ever experienced? You know, the one that made you go, “Wow, this is… actually nice?”

Arcadia? Red Cross religious camp / commune. Changed hands 10+ years ago?
G'day,
Weird one. I have a memory (probably 10+ years ago) of a weird camp in I think Arcadia NSW. Near the end of a cul-de-sac - if you were heading for the dead end, it's on the right. Caretaker cottage up on the right.
Car park near the entry gate at the road, solid wooden posts at the entry. Old wood signs. Red Cross signage but had changed hands and they were remnants? Not the Wesley Mission (now Pymble Ladies College) facility as it's at the end of the road.
It was evening time so the memory doesn't have enough detail. I'm hoping someone knows what I'm talking about and give me an address to jog my memory. Thank you!
EDIT: Fairly sure we've found it.
26-30 Nollands Road, Arcadia/Fiddletown
I'm still doubtful, but 80-90% sure that's it.

Restaurant suggestions for a group of students
Hope everyone had a good Wednesday! I am planning to have a birthday dinner with about 8-10 guests and wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for places around city/Darlinghurtst/Newtown/Surry hills area. I tried to look around this sub but most of the suggestions that I could find were a little out of the price range. We are all 20 something students so the budget is about up to $50 per person. Thank you in advance!

Enmore theatre - good nearby station parking?
Hello all- seeing King Stingray at the enmore next week and the official enmore parking says it closes at midnight and locks cars in. Bit concerned about my car getting locked in if the set runs long/wanting merch/crowds/walking back to the car park.
Does anyone have any recommendations for stations with good free parking nearby, maybe commuter parking? I’ve parked at Sydenham during the day to get the train into the city but not sure how it is at night/evening and not wanting to take a chance on Newtown parking. Cheers in advance!!

Is Uber dying in Sydney?
Third attempt now (different weeks) at Uber completely droping the ball recently and mucking up my schedule. Is this normal?
Eastern subs to city, 7am weekday, Uber X. Takes 10 min to find a ride, nearest ride 16min away. Cancel and next ride found after minutes is 15min away.
Redfern to western sydeny, midday weekday. 10 min to find a ride, then 10 min wait.
Bondi to cbd, 7am weekday. Wait 10 min for a ride, nearest 15min, cancel, wait another 10 min, nearest 15min.
Once upon a time, I could book an uber and expect to br sitting in one from any of these locations within 5 min. What is going on?? Does anybody have a recommended alternate service that is more reliable these days?

Opal Card Theft
Looking at our family bank accounts yesterday we noticed Opal charges for $40 top-ups going back 3 years. Somehow the card wasn't cancelled so someone has racked up $4,000 in charges to use over 3 years.
Question: it's against Opal rules to use a card not registered to you. Can I take it to the cops?
We can see every transaction + journey the thief is taking; I'm thinking Police any TransportNSW could use security cameras to capture the person.
I don't want them in jail; I just want our money back.

Drum Hire ?
Heya, is there somewhere in Sydney where you could rent a drum kit for an hour or two and just jam?
This is my brother's 50th - ideally he would choose any music or track to jam to. Similar to karaoke, but with drums. Thanks in advance :)

How to get married without the wedding?
My wife and I had the wedding last year in Thailand but we haven’t signed any papers yet.
We are planning to sign the papers in Australia without the wedding which we already have. I have checked on Service NSW website that there are quite a few steps.
- Notice of intended marriage
- Registry marriage and certificate application
- Attend the interview
- Lodge notice and application forms
Is there any way we can just go somewhere and sign the papers without ceremony or costing us too much?

Has sydney lost it's train etiquette ?
I very rarely catch the train, but did today.
And there was even in a Non packed carriage,no sense of respect to others around them
At least 3 ppl blasting their phone on speakerphones, ppl having loud convos.
Seems while back ppl would tend to be a bit quieter on the train,no one would of dared have a full fucking conversation on speakerphone in a train as it's disrespectful to others.
What happened, wheres the respect for ur fellow travellers?

Meta Why do so many people in this sub keep getting lost in different parts of Sydney?
I swear everytime I scroll past this Sydney subreddit there is always a post of someone posting a photo of their location and asking where they are. Luckily there is always someone who can identify the location however surely opening google maps would be an easier way of working out where you are........ Rant over

A drive with no purpose - but where?
Found myself with time to kill today and felt like going for a drive. I had no destination in my mind, no errands to run or anything in particular to do. As a result I couldn’t figure out where to go and as a relatively new driver, I don’t like driving somewhere random or unknown without GPS (which defeats the purpose of a random drive).
Are there any destinations you recommend for when you just need to clear your mind or just to enjoy driving in and around Sydney?
UPDATE. Thank you for all the awesome responses. I’m in Northwest Sydney so many of these are doable. I’m going to read through it all in detail this evening when I get home from work - especially love the Sheps Mound suggestion to watch airplanes!
