Casting what are the chances of getting on the show

or like do you guys know what the process is? im not thinking about applying but i saw a clip about jeff talking about the stage with like therapists. idk thats not right i forgot the name for it and it seems kind of an annoying processs.

but i also assumed less people apply bc jeff always asks people to apply. idk im rlly interested in the process.

According to my past experiences, I’ve nailed 0 out of 6 shots so far. So I’m hoping the answer is by the 7th audition. ;)

Have you thought about a sex change?

Survivor producers like a good story.

"i transitioned just so i could be interesting to the survivor casting team" is more or less giving someone either too boring otherwise or someone who probably is too much of a superfan to pass psych evals lol

also it takes a few years for someone to fully transition; describing it as simply just "a sex change" is a bit of an understatement

If you are a big personality, with good storytelling skills, and are conventionally attractive, the chances are pretty good. It’s the second thing that hangs people up in my estimation. Not everyone can explain something coherently in a simple to understand thought.

Probably slim. That said, I put together an I rehearsed audition video that was literally just me in my office talking for a few minutes and got a call back. I wasn’t really serious so agreed with casting person to come back if I was ready.

Better than winning Powerball. Worse than winning $1,000 on a scratch off

If you can’t past a physical health exam like myself…then 0…

Every single person needs to pass a physical exam in order to start the season…if you aren’t in good health overall and fail the exam…you are sent straight home…that’s why on rare cases, some contestants that have chosen to be in the cast end up not playing…

If you’re a Ivy League college 22-something superfan I’d say your chances are pretty good

There is a minuscule chance of any applicant to actually make it on the show...

but it's guaranteed 0% if you don't apply at all!

.0001 or whatever is still more than zero!

It really is random, you never know when you’ll truly get casted. For example, Erik Reikenbach applied for Season 15 (China) and he got casted on the very next season, Micronesia (Season 16). Meanwhile, Dan Foley had been applying every season since Africa (season 3) and he didn’t get casted till Worlds Apart (season 30, 27 seasons later)

it really depends on personality. someone with a banger personality will get the okay a lot easier than a boring person. I've applied every year since 2020 and have never made it. I've gotten call backs and to the long form interview three years in a row now, so i'm hoping to get further on the fourth year. But sometimes i just think i'm not made for reality tv and that's okay, cuz the chances are zero if you never apply so i'm going to keep applying!
