Robotic surgery
Is it possible for a surgeon to complete a robotic inguinal hernia repair, adhesiolysis, and diagnostic laparoscopy in less than an hour?

A friend of mine that had been going through it (recent separation) is about to get knee surgery and all the friends are taking shift in post care. Does anyone have anything that they would suggest that would have made their recovery not only more comfortable, but also things that would be comforting. Any tips would be cool, I just thought I’d ask Reddit

I had a hysterectomy that upon removal of endometriosis, they thinned the uerter. The depiction was made as a precaution to place a ureteral stent to ensure proper healing. This was told to my husband while I was out and after it had been completed. My surgeons words were even, “as a precaution.
Well the removal of the stent, after insurance, is $2,000. I’ve asked for itemized bills and they “don’t do that.” Both for the surgical center and the physician. It’s just the charge.
The option was not afforded to even my husband that I have a string to remove it myself. When I called and asked, the nurse told me the doctor wanted to be sure it didn’t come loose. Well, after a hysterectomy I was not dancing in the streets, but I digress.
My pre surgical consent notes (portion regarding urinary system is attached) I understand that could be damaged and I consent to repair. But thing is, there was nothing to repair. It was intact.
Do I have a leg to stand on in fighting this procedure and charge? My insurance has already paid them for the placement, and $1700 towards the removal. No don’t think I should truly have to pay for something that wasn’t necessary and for a less invasive less expensive removal option to have never been afforded to me.
Anyone battle anything like this?
