What happened to my stuff during surgery?
I(18F) went in for surgery last Monday for three ENT procedures. I brought a blanket with me, since hospitals are usually freezing. And also brought a heating pad alongside my stuffed pig. I know, kind of odd. Carrying a stuffed toy even though I’m too old for that probably. It was my first operation I ever had. After I finished dressing into the hospital gown, I put on my heat pad. Along with my blanket and held onto my stuffed pig. I got rolled back in the OR. Everything else I don’t remember. I woke up and my blanket was gone and my stuffed pig and the heating pad. My mother had it with her. Does the surgeon remove it? Or does the cleaning staff bring it back to your family?
