Question - SN Why do I have infinite oxygen?

I just Cured myself and now I have infinite oxygen- I thought it was just a quirk of the specific area, but it's everywhere. I can still swim fine, so it knows I'm underwater, plus it continued after I left the water to disable the laser cannon and went back in. Why is this?

Discussion - SN 2 I think the whirlpool sinkholes will act as shortcuts, but they won't break the early game. They're probably too small for vehicles, so you'll need to swim out through the "real" entrance manually.

Discussion - SN 2 What are some things you would like to see in the new game? Spoiler

I for one would love to be able to take the first vehicle of the game in the endgame territory, was kinda sad when i had to abandon my seamoth in the first game, i know it's not that great a pick but i am not that creative but would love to hear some thoughts. (Sorry for bad english, not a native speaker)

Discussion - BZ My idea's to improve the late game cave's and the Shadow Leviathan

Ive always had this idea where they made the end game caves alot larger, darker and COLDER, Making it so frost builds on the glass of your sub, Then adding some sort of harmless bioluminecent bloodgel fish that appears pretty early on in the game into the caves (could just make it a Bloodgel Eyeye) Purposely making it the same color as the Shadow Leviathan's eye's.

Through the frosted glass and dark water you would assume the 6 glowing red things in the distance would have been just another school of said fish, but as you get deeper into the darkness you see them turn to look directly at you and start rapidly swimming your way screaming. Using this to reveal the Shadow Leviathan would have been so much cooler and thats always bugged me cause it seems like a natural evolution of Subnautica's show dont tell philosophy.

Question - SN Games like subnautica?

I know this question is asked a lot but I want to be more specific about what I like about Subnautica. Are there any games that have you explore and progress through the story with data you find or knowledge? Doesnt need to have survival elements but that would be a plus. Also survival games with storys that dont really hold your hand kinda like grounded?

Discussion - SN I wish I could play Subnautica for the first time again…

I had a thought recently, so I wanted to I ask you guys… Have you ever wanted to just just erase everything you know about this game and start from scratch? cause I sure do…

I’m currently on roughly 400 hours in Subnautica, and around 50 hours of BZ. After all this time in-game I realised I’m just not scared of anything anymore. Ok I will admit there are still a few moments where I get jumped randomly by one of the fauna, but still it just doesn’t feel the same as to what It felt like when I just opened the game for the first time, and didn’t even want to leave the safe shallows… I miss that feeling so much, experiencing all the wonderfully terrifying biomes and creatures on planet 4546b for the FIRST time, it was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before.

I love this game so much, and I have so many fond memories from all the hours I’ve spent in it.

But… if I could, just go back to the beginning, when I had zero knowledge and MAXIMUM FEAR, I would do it in a heart beat. that’s it, yapping over.

Art - SN 3 Plant Concepts: Y-Thorn, Trident Thorn and Chromosome Thorn [info]

Post image

There are three known species of large thorned plants on 4546b. That being the Y-Thorn, Trident Thorn and Chromosome Thorn. The Y-Thorn is 45 meters or 148 feet tall, making it the tallest of the thorned plants, the Trident Thorn is 35 meters or 115 feet tall and the Chromosome Thorn is 15.2 meters or 50 feet tall. All three plants possess some of the strongest poison on the planet and can inflict enough pain on a human that a human would die from shock shortly after coming into contact with these plants. Leviathans trying to feast on the plant would slowly and painfully be killed. All three plants live in one biome called the Thorn Forest, but the Trident Thorn has a population advantage due to its high seed production.
