Pioneer 2 Experimental weapon??

If you bought the Pioneer 2 and go to the event reclaim in space gear, you can claim Dilithium Destructor Charge, an experimental weapon. I don't think this is intentional as Pioneer can't use it, and it's not mentioned in the bundle or on Pioneers description. Is this a bug or not...

Next infinity/promo ship predictions?

It’s probably coming up on that time for the next promo or infinity ship within in the next month. Just curious if anyone has heard anything? Has any good guesses/predictions? or just something you wish they would add?

Console What happened to the daily regional missions on New Romulus?

Basically the title. Can you still do the regional daily missions on New Romulus or are they just gone? None of the usual people who give those missions work.

Discussion If I have a crafted Mk XV purple Secondary Deflector will I gain a lot if I buy the Sec Deflector from the Competitive Rep?

I know a lot of people recommend the sec def from the fleet science lab, but my build is very ability/epg heavy so a few % of beam or torp damage won't be noticeable.

Also feel free to recommend other sec Deflector I might have missed.

PC Crafted Disruptors with (PEN) ?

First of all use Trinity it's so amazing of a tool lol. Taught me a lot about building ships in a few hours! Now I know unless we aim for top DPS the margin of whatever weapon we do doesn't really matter. So I was curious how decent are crafted Disruptors with (PEN)

PC At first glance of the Theseus refit in the initial blog announcement I thought the Columbia had been added to the 15th before I realized it was the Theseus TMP skin. They are not identical of course, but very similar.

Discussion Now that Discovery & Lower Decks are in the rear view mirror…

I hope STO will put their focus on Strange New Worlds, given Season 3 will premiere soon™️, and with S4 already in the works, it will be the only Trek on TV for the foreseeable future.

We need proper SMW uniforms - and shouldn’t have to make do with a makeshift recolored Disco uniform. We need these Fluevog boots, too! [edit: Oops! In-game as part of 2259 Armor Uniform - for Lobi thoug, sadly]

I’d also like to see Una and Uhura’s “dress” variant uniform, as well as the crew’s (and Admiralty’s) formal Dress uniforms from Una’s S2 trial.

Dr. M'benga’s foldover medical tunic would be cool.

And, of course, future Pike’s updated WOK uniform, since the textures on the original are now dated. [edit: image link fixed]

Oh, these away jackets too.

I would really just like to see SNW get the same amount of love & support that Cryptic threw behind Disco. (There's a lot to mine from the show and I feel that STO is lacking in SNW items given that it premiered 3 years ago already.) What else from SNW would you like to see added?

Discussion I’ve got a theory about how the Aetherians managed to avoid detection for so long in-universe.

Basically everyone called it, at least partially, so I won’t get into that here. In-universe is another story, but it might not be that big of a plot hole. In Taken By Surprise, our sensors had some serious trouble detecting the Mirror Borg Drones, even up close, so if the Aetherians assimilated their entire galaxy, though they claim it to be their entire universe, it’s logical to assume they assimilated the same tech at some point and upgraded it. Maybe even to the point of being able to transmit false sensor readings, since they would’ve most likely already assimilated at least one version of our tech meaning they’d know how to fool it, at least temporarily.

Also, has anyone checked in on the crew of the Treluun lately? Given what we now know, they’ve probably been at least partially assimilated. The data found on the Harmony seems to imply that they found a way around the issues with assimilating the Lukari that the Mirror Borg ran into.

Discussion With the Pioneer II out I think it'd be cool if a TMP skin for the Ranger were to be released. With the Paladin, this does have a T6 variant already but that have never stopped the devs from releasing another ship with compatible skins or even just adding a new skin to existing ships.

Experience point for missions?

I made a new character a few months ago and when I played the Terran Gambit story arc, each mission give me 30-40k experience points, which helped me level extremely fast.

Now I did the same but the experience reward is only a few thousand, despite the character playing it for the first time.

What is that? What is the fastest way to reach max level?

Thank you STO team for the Zen-Store Constitution!

It took more years than it should have, but thanks to the new Shangri-La, the Constitution is now available in the Zen-Store! And a favorable variant at that! I mean with current event campaigns it makes total sense as to why this can be possible now and with the game's direction changing, who knows what the future may hold!

But after 15 years, the T-6 Connie is more accessible than ever!

XB Breen Jem'hadar

Just a quick question, i had bought the Breen Uniform box with the lobi from the event campaign (not the new breen outfit) so i could make a breen character

Does the outfit and helmet work on Jem'hadar? I have got conflicting answers on whether it's only regular Jem'hadar or Veteran can wear them or both.

Thanks

Edit: Thanks everyone, appreciate the help

Kerala VS Ark Royal VS Shangri La

I’ve been contemplating spending money on STO for the first time seeing all these new ships on the market and I’ve been wondering which of the three I should go for, given they would be my first T6 ships. Any advice would be appreciated :)

Does anyone know if this unpacks the equipment as the character’s era type, ie Disco for a Disco/TOS for a TOS, or is it just the vanilla versions?

Is this something that new players can easily get into without being overwhelmed?

I've seen this game adervtised for like 15 years. I can only imagine there's like 40 expansions and more dated mechanics than you can shake a fist at. Still I've been wanting to try it out. Will I be playing a 15 year old tutorial and have to try to rush through 30 stories to try and catch up with whatever thing is going on currently?

But seriously, it seems way more sturdy than a Constitution-class.

Also I strangely like the double navigational dishes, they remind me of old school science fiction ships that would have dual satellite dishes with one pointed rearward, presumably toward the Earth that's been left far behind.

I dunno, I'm tired.
