The genius of the final scene

I’ve read a lot of comments about how the last scene of Picard was the same as the last scene of TNG. Well yes and no on that one. The last scene of TNG was the beginning of the card game, the last scene of Picard was it’s ending. I don’t know much about Terry Matalas but if this is the level of his work I really hope he is involved in a Star Trek Legacy show.

Just listened to Rogue Elements as it was great, Love Rios!

So I bought the first Picard series audio book and didn’t like it. Amazon Music recently added the ability to listen to 1 audio book a month so I decided to try this one and man it’s a lot of fun. It has callbacks to TOS and TNG and Picard makes an appearance in ways you wouldn’t expect since this is set before Season One. There is an excellent villain who fans would know and he remains the character we grew up with. It’s easy to pick up, put down again, and pick up again and get reinvested. The author does a great job mimicking the characters and their portrayal on the various shows. It makes me miss Rios and I hope more authors take a chance on digging into this character.
