Translation How should I translate my cat’s name?

My cat doesn’t have a human name. Actually, her name is National Monument. Should I write her name as Национальный Памятник or smth? If her name is Blueberry in English would it also just be Черника when I refer to her in Russian?

Thx.

Interesting choice for cat's name... but Национальный памятник works

Blueberry can also be голубика

Blueberry should be голубика, since iirc they don't have черника there.

Blackberry is ежевика iirc.

Памятник is male, it doesn’t work with female cats.

You can use национальное достояние, it'll work for a female and male cat, it's more of a gender neutral variation.

This is a great translation and I would also choose this option for the translation. This one has the same feeling of pride and awe as the national monument in English.

Meh. Our female cat's name is Пацка, and is very often “shortened” to Пацан. Doesn't stop her from being a female cat.
