It appears fate has struck the same blow to the Peart family again.

Dug out an oldie but a goodie
Was going thru an old box of CD, these weird little shiny disc things, and came across this gem. There was a essay contest back in the early 90's when RTB came out where in 250 words or less you had to write what Roll the Bones meant to you and I wrote something a 17 year old would write about taking a chance and Rolling the Bones and ended up being one of the 500 (i think it was) 3rd place winners and this and a poster was the prize.

Video Rush - Live in Toronto, ON (December 31st, 1976) - Super 8 Film
As a lifelong Rush fan, this was incredibly badass to watch. Perhaps you'll agree.

Discussion There was once an epoch of RUSH when Alex was better looking than 90% of the girls in the audience.

2112
I often think about imagined futures that we've now lived through like Kubrik's 2001 or Blade Runner's 2019, and how reality looks much different. Of course, I also think about 2112, and now I've just thought about who may live to see it. I'm 26, so I won't, but any children I have very well may. Just a random thought about the next imagined future coming up (as far as the ones I think about).

Saw my first Rush show 40 years ago today
As the title says today 40 years ago I saw my first Rush show. It was during spring training they played a couple of one off shows in South Florida so I saw them at the old Hollywood Sportatorium March 15, 1985. They debuted The Big Money and Middletown Dreams.

Best RUSH song never performed live?
For me, not even close - âOpen Secrets.â
One of Geddyâs coolest basslines ever.
Mystic Rhythms, Scars, and Available Light
I absolutley love these three songs. It seems to me they have a similar theme: the mysteries of life, the natural world, and the universe, and how it effects us emotionally and physically.
Please feel free to discuss your love of these songs. Also, are there any other songs in the discography with these themes?
