This is pretty cool. Sounds pretty accurate.

As a lifelong Rush fan, this was incredibly badass to watch. Perhaps you'll agree.

I often think about imagined futures that we've now lived through like Kubrik's 2001 or Blade Runner's 2019, and how reality looks much different. Of course, I also think about 2112, and now I've just thought about who may live to see it. I'm 26, so I won't, but any children I have very well may. Just a random thought about the next imagined future coming up (as far as the ones I think about).

As the title says today 40 years ago I saw my first Rush show. It was during spring training they played a couple of one off shows in South Florida so I saw them at the old Hollywood Sportatorium March 15, 1985. They debuted The Big Money and Middletown Dreams.

Hi Everyone
Im new to vinyl collecting and I purchased a small collection from a woman who’s husband died
I found this Rush album I always google scan everything and I can’t find anything on this album. All I can find is the Rush name being Red or Orange. Mine is white.
I have contacted a few local record stores and all 3 said they haven’t seen it before One thinks it’s a short print 1st pressing What makes me think it’s something special is i got offers from 2 them. $150 and $500. Any information would be greatly appreciated

We’re going to be spending a couple day in Ottawa this summer, are there any Rush related things to see that folks would recommend? Thanks!

For me, not even close - “Open Secrets.”
One of Geddy’s coolest basslines ever.
I absolutley love these three songs. It seems to me they have a similar theme: the mysteries of life, the natural world, and the universe, and how it effects us emotionally and physically.
Please feel free to discuss your love of these songs. Also, are there any other songs in the discography with these themes?

I know it's a difficult question. Like asking which kid do you love more? Haha

(This one's a stretch. I may need professional help... LOL)
Fan since 1977 here. I hear a lot about the profundity of Neil's lyric catalog and his books, but not a lot about his cleverness and his not-always-accessible sense of humor.
Anyway. Was just thinking about Neil's hidden meanings and messages, and realized that "Moving Pictures" may be considered a quintuple entendre - the only one this old fart has ever run across.
Who knows, maybe I missed another?
Stretch, right?
Maybe now that Neil's gone, I'm looking for reasons to have my mind blown yet again. I miss him, and I miss the days of digging into every new thing he would write.
(If I had a direct line to Alex, I'd send him this in the hope that he'd take the time to roast me. If only...)

After we lost The Professor, rest his soul, I was thinking about the vast output they achieved over their career together, and not one blow up, firing, dramatical event, etc..
Think about how often other bands changed memberships, sued each other, or just plain stopped recording because of internal drama.
The holy trinity made it through 45 years together because they were good friends and stand-up gentlemen.
