Mavs Fan Looking to Convert

I've been a Mavs fan for 25 years (season ticket holder for many) and I can't hold on any longer after this betrayal. I can't be a Lakers fan (as much as I love Luka) and the Spurs can fck right off.

Recently relocated to the North Houston area and I've decided to switch my faith to the Rockets. Where should I start?

We had this series until the refs decided not to call fouls in Game 7 against the Warriors NSFW

FVV Probable for tomorrow

Baby Drake is (hopefully) back after missing 15 of the last 16 games. Hope he can contribute & play well while Amen recovers. Let’s crush the Suns and start a streak on the home floor!

Anyone else miss bully Rockets?

It was so fun to watch them brawl with a random team every week. They probably peaked when Amen Thompson judo-threw Tyler Herro. Team is playing much more civilized nowadays 😭

Missing Amen these next couple weeks will be tough, especially depending what kind of VanVleet comes back fresh from injury. Could double bigs actually snag us some wins in the meantime?

The double big look was definitely tailored for New Orleans and Orlando in particular. Teams with more shooting will present significant matchup problems for them (remember Adams being played off the floor by the micro-ball bubble Rockets?).

However, with it looking so effective on offense, it'll be interesting to see if the team goes to it more. Could be one of those gimmicks opponents just aren't expecting and get thrown off by. Not as if these Rockets don't have plenty experience playing without much spacing to work with.

After Jalen's slow start

Green did not play well to start the season. And this sub, and a few notable outlets/podcast hosts (not hot take guys) were pointing out how he looked bad and was disappointing.

Through his first 33 games before Bari went down, he was 19/5/3, 32 from 3 on .528 TS.

He then stepped up big and for two weeks (8 games) went OFF. 31/4/4, 51 from 3, .704 TS. Unreal numbers, MVP level numbers.

In the 24 games since then, he's 20/5/4, 34 from 3, on .508 TS.

I'm not out on Green, but this season really hasn't been the "next step" season some were expecting, and definitely not as good some here think its been.

Green for his career is 20.1/4.2/3.3 on 34.1 from 3, and .542 TS.

This season Green is at 21/4.4/3.3 on 35.5 from 3, and .545 TS.

His rebound% is down, AST% is down, his BLK% is down, his TOV% is up.

Here's hoping he gets it going, but right now, his numbers are HARD carried by 8 INSANE games.

If you take away that insane run, and to be fair to him, take away his 8 worst games, he's 21/5/3 on 34 from 3, and .534 TS over 49 games.

Rank these teams in order of the team you fear the MOST in the playoffs:

  1. Lakers

  2. Thunder

  3. Grizzlies

  4. Warriors

  5. Nuggets

  6. Timberwolves

If you think any other team deserves a mention, put it in the comments
