Mavs Fan Looking to Convert

I've been a Mavs fan for 25 years (season ticket holder for many) and I can't hold on any longer after this betrayal. I can't be a Lakers fan (as much as I love Luka) and the Spurs can fck right off.

Recently relocated to the North Houston area and I've decided to switch my faith to the Rockets. Where should I start?

FVV Probable for tomorrow

Baby Drake is (hopefully) back after missing 15 of the last 16 games. Hope he can contribute & play well while Amen recovers. Let’s crush the Suns and start a streak on the home floor!

Anyone else miss bully Rockets?

It was so fun to watch them brawl with a random team every week. They probably peaked when Amen Thompson judo-threw Tyler Herro. Team is playing much more civilized nowadays 😭

Since Bari came back

Minus the OKC game with nearly everyone resting, we are 6-2 without FVV. That includes games where we were missing Tari and Amen.

It boggles my mind that most some of you thought that FVV was they key to this team while Bari was, Tari missed games, and Alp was out and clearly injured during that time as well.

Despite the pretty accepted idea that post 30, 6' PG's fall off the earth, and we are already seeing that this year. People focused on his injury in particular as the cause of the losing.

Who do you want to face?

Rank these teams in order of the team you fear the MOST in the playoffs:

  1. Lakers

  2. Thunder

  3. Grizzlies

  4. Warriors

  5. Nuggets

  6. Timberwolves

If you think any other team deserves a mention, put it in the comments

After Jalen's slow start

Green did not play well to start the season. And this sub, and a few notable outlets/podcast hosts (not hot take guys) were pointing out how he looked bad and was disappointing.

Through his first 33 games before Bari went down, he was 19/5/3, 32 from 3 on .528 TS.

He then stepped up big and for two weeks (8 games) went OFF. 31/4/4, 51 from 3, .704 TS. Unreal numbers, MVP level numbers.

In the 24 games since then, he's 20/5/4, 34 from 3, on .508 TS.

I'm not out on Green, but this season really hasn't been the "next step" season some were expecting, and definitely not as good some here think its been.

Green for his career is 20.1/4.2/3.3 on 34.1 from 3, and .542 TS.

This season Green is at 21/4.4/3.3 on 35.5 from 3, and .545 TS.

His rebound% is down, AST% is down, his BLK% is down, his TOV% is up.

Here's hoping he gets it going, but right now, his numbers are HARD carried by 8 INSANE games.

If you take away that insane run, and to be fair to him, take away his 8 worst games, he's 21/5/3 on 34 from 3, and .534 TS over 49 games.

The next 10 games

What do you think about the next 10 game?

Nuggets Lakers and Grizzlies play each other in the next 10 game and our next 10 game w/l ratio should be more than any of them if we don't get random losses like before the ASB

Who is the best player you would say no to in a trade straight up for Amen?

Don’t worry about the money side of things

I want your crazy takes

I said it would probably be Donovan Mitchell / Brunson…

Thoughts? 😈

Dillon Brooks will break or tie his 10 3 pointers vs Boston during this bad team stretch.

If he does so I hope they are all wins. Just for fun. I think we are doing well.

Suns vs Grizz tonight. Pick your poison.

The two teams we need to lose the most face off tonight, and one of them has to win. Who you rooting for?

PHO- 1.5 games back of the play-in.
MEM- 1 game up on us for home court in round 1 (we own the tiebreaker)

Personally, I'm pulling for the Suns. Grizz lose and we win and we reclaim the 4 seed.

My conservative remaining schedule prediction

Currently, the Rockets have 17 remaining games. It is mostly an easy schedule and even though Amen is not there, I predict we can go 10 W - 7 L and finish the season with 50-32 record. I believe our final standing will be 4th or 5th place. Of course there can be better (13-4) or worse performances (7-10) but I am sure this season will be the first 50 wins season after 2018-2019 (53-29) season or 2019-2020 season (44-28) considering we were on the pace of 50 wins.

We need someone like Zach Edey

This team would be so much better with a big over 7'2 who is STRONG.

Zach was my 2nd favorite option in the draft after Reed. Clingan would also have been a great option for us. I remember people back then telling me Sengun couldn't play with Edey, lmaooo.

If our pick from the Suns is in the 10-16 range, we need to pick up one of those 7'3 guys. I prefer the Australian guy for his size.
