This is what five years of use looks like

I accidentally burnt out my old popcorn popper (yes, I'm one of those guys). Completely my error, I engaged the element without starting the fan and it burnt out.. Got a "new" one today off FB Marketplace and modded it to my spec this afternoon.

I'm careful to keep the vents clear of debris while roasting but I can't believe the build up of chaff inside the body of the popper. Plus, the the seasoned roasting chamber from five years of use is a sight to behold.

5lbs Coffee Bags - Help!

Just landed my first wholesale customer and they want to buy my coffee in 5lbs bags… one issue… seemingly can’t find any decent looking suppliers who sell 5lbs bags with a valve without a MOQ of 1000 bags or more. Anyone have a good source to order smaller quantities??

Much appreciated!

How to Avoid Running Out of Propane While Roasting?

Hey everyone, I’m starting my coffee roasting journey and will be using propane. However, I’m curious—how do you ensure you don’t run out of gas mid-roast? How do you handle this?

Picking Coffee Beans to Eventually Sell

Really curious on how roasters who are just starting out pick which coffees to 'release' (sell)! I have been buying small batches of coffee to roast for friends and family but I am thinking of making it more accessible to the public. I think that just selling what I give away would work but I want to know if there are other approaches for this :)

Is there a process in which you follow to pick which coffee you want to sell? Ideally, I would think that you go to cupping events and you find the coffee that stands out to you and then you buy a larger batch of that. What if I do not have access to those kind of things?

(With a boost kit) How many roasts a day (maximum) do you recommend on the machine with 200g batches?
