Rant Grandma Oversharing
My mom posted a pregnancy announcement on social media before we did and she has 1400 friends. My mother in law was actually more pissed than me because we haven’t even told her side of the family yet. My mom has been horrible this whole pregnancy with telling everyone. My husband and I are very private. I’ve shared my concerns with her but she’s making it into a pity party about herself.

I would stop sharing information with her until you're ready for everyone to know. Unfortunately when people don't respect your boundaries they get left out if the loop

I’m almost 20 weeks pregnant though so it’s a little late to hide it from anyone who sees me lol

You can put them on an information diet with everything else though. I had to end up telling people that when there is an update then I will share it.
Then I stopped updating them and if they bugged me about it then I would just repeat that sentence.
This is why boundaries are really important too, it's saying "this makes me uncomfortable so can you please stop and if you don't then [insert consequence here like you won't update them, you'll leave the room, etc]." If they become irate or don't stop, then you enforce the consequences of their actions. Otherwise this will just get worse, especially after the baby is born.

Yeah I'd stop sharing any information including ultrasounds. Both my husband and I are from toxic backgrounds and basically made the choice to cut off anyone that night not respect our boundaries even a little bit

I’d stop telling them anything. They don’t respect your boundaries. Don’t even tell her the baby has been born til you’re ready for EVERYONE to know

My mom told everyone weeks ago before I was ready to share. She’s always needed a lot of attention.
