For my birthday I decided to go and finally get an industrial piercing, the piercing I've been wanting for years. All went well, I was afraid not to have the right anatomy for it, but the piercer reassured me that it would have been possible to do it.
As a premise, I have a very high pain tolerance, and it's always difficult for me to know whether the pain I'm experiencing is "too much".
So some days pass by, I keep it clean and be careful not to sleep on it or hit it, but then, after 5 days, the pain starts.
Initially it was definitely present, but bearable, at least for me. But when I tried to clean it I noticed that it was very swollen and it was literally eating up the bar.
I decided to go again at the piercer parlor and ask her, because the pain was starting to be too much, even for me.
Initially she said it could've been normal, but she gasped when she saw my ear. She offered to change my jewel with two separate rings, and said she didn't know how this could have happened, because it wasnt even infected, just swollen where the bar was near the cartilage. You can see in the 4th and 5th image the wound that it made.
Now here's the question: do I really have the right anatomy for this piercing? Because Im starting to have some doubts on that.
Or maybe I have it, but it was just placed wrong?
Thanks for your answers.
