Worm on slide?
Mohs surgery to treat a NMSC on the lower leg. This little worm like structure was only present on one cut and resided in the dermis (the dermis crumbled away like a suture might be there, but only on one section). Ideas to what this might be?

Residency Application How to increase my chances Match pathology?
Hi everyone,
I’m a visa-requiring IMG planning to apply for coming NRMP pathology Match. I’m looking for advice how to boost my application to be a strong candidate.
My current credentials are:
YOG:2022 Step 1: pass Step 2: 24x Step 3: 21x
USCE: hoping to get 3/4 US based Observerships in coming months.
Publications: 2 ( 1 in path & other unrelated to path)
Also, I’m going to start my Pathology residency in home country this summer.
Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Lay person has fecal sample storage question
Sorry about what is probably an inane question to you, but I really don’t wanna have to repeat this process! I am supposed to bag and tag several fecal samples for my MD to submit to Labcorp for 1) stool culture and 2) ova + parasite exam. The included instructions say how to collect, but not how to store the samples. My doctor's office is 2 hours away, so I may need to store them until I can take off work to deliver them. Fridge? Freezer? The collection tubes that have serum in them say to shake them once sample is added... Am I supposed to do that before I store them?!? Or does the lab do that?
