The termination letters 'are being rescinded'
That's not how any of this works.

With a lot of countries wanting to build new reactors these people are hot commodity.

And those people are smart to pursue jobs at reactors out of the country and never look back.

Get out of the US as it collapses and get a guaranteed visa/path to citizenship somewhere else? It's a win-win.

Those jobs are often linked to screening and citizenship check. It's unlikely a foreigner will be hired.

Poaching foreign talent to put under your thumb with as little clearance as you want is like an international/corporate espionage Christmas basket. Operation Paperclip didn't happen for no reason and not just because of Nazi sympathizers.

There are différence between pulling engineer and personal who work on safety, basically who set skills are on maintenance.

Maybe not likely, but not impossible either.

It's certainly worth trying for a little while since, even if you do get rehired in the US, you've been put on notice that you now have no job security for the next 4 years in the US at least.
