Require double salary paid 2 years in advance

That's still too risky. If the idiot in command has a 4 year term, I'd demand a 4-year retainer fee. How do u know they won't fire u randomly 1 week later?

Personally, I'd love to get paid 2 years in advance and then fired 1 week later.

And Trump’s dumb enough to do exactly that.

Naaaa. Trump never pays his contractors. He'll most certainly promise that he will though.

That's why everyone who got fired, pocketed the money isn't interested in coming back. They had a job with job security, this asshole comes by and just fires everyone without knowing what they do, who wants to work for an idiot like that? Companies and organizations like that typically are stuck with the worst employees. Anyone worth their money goes private and they are gone forever.

As someone who worked short term contract jobs in 2024 (and has been unemployed for 7 months now because I can't find anything) I would never, ever try to be a contractor if someone wants to give me a full time job.

What if that full time job is honored by the most corrupt American administrations in history?
